Zack was the cool preppy, Slater was the athlete, Screech was the nerd, Lisa was the gossip queen, Kelly was the cheerleader, and Jessie was the honor student. The show followed the group as they navigated high school. Its spinoff, Saved By The Bell The College Years, didn't fare as well and only lasted one season.
