Sarah Silverman Busts The 'Grown Women In Schoolgirl Outfits Are Sexy' Myth
With her hands in her sweater pockets, Sarah Silverman attended the "Machete" premiere in Los Angeles wearing a pleated skirt, skinny tie, and white button-down blouse.
While many stars look sexy in schoolgirl uniforms (see Carrie Underwood on the "Today Show"), Sarah fails miserably.
Her Comedy Central series "The Sarah Silverman Program" was axed this spring after just three seasons on the air.

'The Sarah Silverman Program' Gets The Axe
Sarah Silverman has failed to save her self-titled comedy show from cancellation - TV bosses have reportedly axed the series after three seasons.
The Sarah Silverman Program, which earned the funny woman an Emmy Award nomination last year, was rumored to be faltering in 2009 after a series of budget cuts, but the star's sister Laura, who also appears in the series, pledged to save the show by launching a campaign on Twitter.com.
She wrote, "If you want more Sarah Silverman Program Tweet @ComedyCentral and let them know. It's up to you! Power to the People, Right On."

More Crazy Hijinks On 'The Sarah Silverman Program' Season 3
Sarah Silverman fought for a third season of her Comedy Central show The Sarah Silverman Program. It was certainly worth the wait, as she has plenty of highbrow social commentary coming up this season.
"I get in trouble for peeing in a mailbox," Silverman explained. "Or what I thought was an old timey e-mail machine, a box for one of those old timey e-mails I think."
To be fair, she did know that whatever it was wasn't a toilet. "Knew it wasn't a toilet, that's true."
That episode also pokes fun at Silverman's penchant for calling people "retarded." "That is the episode where I fin...

Emmy Nomination Surprises, Snubs And Shouldn't Be Nominated
To paraphrase Ned Flanders, apparently an Emmy nomination is easier to get than an acceptance letter from Arizona State.
This morning, Emmy tried to one-up Oscar's new rule of ten by including six nominees in the acting categories and a whopping seven in the series categories. Yes, if you made a television series this year, or appeared on one, chances are you heard your name called in North Hollywood this morning.
With so many nominess, it seems impossible that any deserving performances or series were left out. Right? Sadly, no. And, of course, there are plenty of nominees who sh...

Sarah Silverman Addresses The Nation On Election Day
Sarah Silverman stars as...Sarah Silverman in the The Sarah Silverman Program. Her everyday life--which is just that much more exciting than yours--is played out through scripted scenes, animation, and absurd songs. Without a care in the world, Sarah spends her time with her sister (played by real-life sister Laura Silverman), geeky neighbors who may or may not be gay (Brian Posehn and Steve Agee), and the kindhearted and mustachioed Officer Jay (Jay Johnston). Without caring for anyone but herself, Sarah skates by on her good looks, quick wit and uncompromising immaturity.

True Hollywood BFFs
A best friend forever (BFF) is a person whom you know really well and regard with affection and trust. In Hollywood, a best friend is often a famous pal whom you party with so you can gain popularity and get more press. In most cases, people go to clubs together just to be seen and to create hype.
Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan probably did not have heart-to-heart talks on Sunday nights while drinking wine and watching Desperate Housewives. But there are a few cases in which people really do like each other and hang out because they are in fact best friends!

Starpulse Q&A With Jay Johnston: How the Mustachioed Half Lives
Jay Johnston was used to strangers approaching him in public. After all, he was a prominent writer and actor on the cult HBO sketch series Mr. Show with Bob and David. Plus, he's had his fair share of encounters with the homeless and jerks who want to pick a fight with him simply because he's six foot five. But the oddest reactions Jay's received were the result of growing out a mustache during the first season of The Sarah Silverman Program for his role of Officer Jay McPherson. Suddenly, Jay found himself the victim of behavior he deemed to odd and annoying to endure and vowed to wear pro...

Silverman says, "Angelina Jolie was shooting a commercial for Japan right next door to us. And we all decided to write outside that day. She came over and said hi and said she watches the she show. She's so strikingly beautiful. None of us could work the rest of the day until we knew she was gone. It was so pat...
