Joss Whedon's bid to buy the Terminator franchise for $10,000 looks likely to fall flat - the sellers are asking for $70 million for the rights to the sci-fi series.

The Syfying Of Science Fiction Is Both Good & Bad
Everyone seems really into vampires lately. Sexy vampires that have steamy vampire sex with each other all the time. If not vampires than it's people with psychic abilities (Psych) or people that travel through alternate dimensions. And that's just on television. These days a major blockbuster movie can't make a return without aliens (District 9), killer robots (Transformers) or wizards (Harry Potter). We live in a time where Quentin Tarantino is playing with alternate history (Inglourious Basterds) and weepy chick flicks are about time travel (The Time Traveler's Wife).

Unraveling The 'Terminator' Timeline: Your Cheat Sheet For 'Terminator Salvation'
Inevitably when sequels to popular movies come out, there are people who see the new movie that have not seen the previous ones in the series.
One of the most vital aspects in the "Terminator" story is time travel, which is a plot device present in all of the films. When introducing a complicated concept like time travel though, things can get confusing for viewers because of alternate timelines and time paradoxes.
If you haven't seen any of the "Terminator" movies but you want to see the new one, these ideas might sound complex to you.

Review: 'Terminator Salvation' May Not Be The 'Terminator' Fans Have Waited For
When I first heard there would be a fourth Terminator film, my reaction fell somewhere in between what it would be if they announced a seventh Highlander film and the announcement of a third Mannequin -- with Mannequin being on the higher level of excitement. Now that's not to say I didn't enjoy the hell out of the first two Terminator films, I did... a lot. But once James Cameron left the series, the third film, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, followed by the recently canceled The Sara Connor Chronicles, drifted the franchise in a direction I wasn't interested in. There seemed to be to...

Tori Spelling recently found herself on magazine covers again with speculation on her "dangerous" weight loss. She assures her fans, and her enemies, that she's perfectly healthy.
"At the end of the day I have two kids, a husband, that's my priority," Spelling said. "I have a lot of businesses to run. I don't have time to deal with whether they think I'm at the perfect weight or what they think I should weigh, but I want to be healthy for my children. When they start writing stories and criticizing you it starts to hurt because there are children involved. I think, my little Stella, sh...

Starpulse's Explosive Summer Movie Preview
Since the dawn of the American cinematic blockbuster in the late 1970s and early 1980s, moviegoers have eagerly waited for May - the unofficial beginning of summertime. This summer is no different. Films, and most popular media, are social mirrors, and this summer season supports that. The large box office contenders all deal with very similar themes: escapism and the support of the lone, outlaw hero figure (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, Up, Transformers 2, Public Enemies, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, Inglourious Basterds, et...
READ MORE10 Reasons To Keep 'Chuck' On The Air
There's been a lot of discussion about the fate of reluctant spy Chuck Bartowski lately. Of the other shows that were picked up in that ill-fated 2007-08 season, only CBS's sitcom The Big Bang Theory and the CW's soapy Gossip Girl have survived. Ouch. Worse, most of those shows, like Pushing Daisies, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Life met the axe this year (though the jury's still out on Life, it doesn't look good.) With Jay Leno taking over five hours of the NBC schedule a week (seriously, whose genius idea was that?), things aren't looking good for the once proud Peacock. Here are ten ...

Fox's Sci-Fi Fridays: The Look Of 'Terminator' And 'Dollhouse'
Fox tried something very interesting this season - a lineup that seems like the kiss of death for two unusual shows. The Friday night time spot is usually reserved for shows that have no chance of seeing renewal. However, Friday nights have been taken over by a two-hour block of sci-fi with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse.

Will New Fox Series 'Dollhouse' Survive The Friday Time Slot?
Joss Whedon is a legend in his own right, known both for his offbeat sense of humor and his knack for writing strong female main characters. It's been a few years since his era of television gold ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer," "Angel," "Firefly") was on the air, but now he's coming back in a big way on the FOX network.
