'Two And A Half Men' Moving To Thursday Nights

May 17th, 2012 10:35am EDT
Two and a Half Men
CBS had announced that Two and a Half Men won't be returning to Monday nights this fall, and will instead be airing after The Big Bang Theory on Thursday nights to create a comedy block.

Big Bang Theory has mostly failed as a lead-in to other shows on the network (How to be a Gentlemen, Rules of Engagement and Rob all sputtered after the hit comedy). Surprise hit 2 Broke Girls will be moved to Monday to take up the vacated timeslot.

The move could possibly bring 2 and a Half Men higher ratings, as it will no longer compete with ESPN's Monday Night Football in the fall. However, it will ...

'Top Gear' (US) Recap: 'Muscle Cars' (3.02)

February 22nd, 2012 12:37am EST
Top Gear
One thing that's universal with Top Gear: its willingness to exploit the suffering of its hosts for entertainment. This week's American edition is one of those episodes.

In this week's episode, the guys are breaking out a trio of muscle cars to test their mettle. Rutledge has the Dodge Challenger SRT-8, Adam brings a Ford Mustang GT, and Tanner drives up in a Chevy Camaro SS Auto. After a little good-natured ribbing of each other's cars (and Tanner's choice of shirt), it's challenge time!

First, they've got to drive to the Los Angeles River, which happens to be 20 miles away. Thi...

Presenting Starpulse's quick-and-dirty guide to this fall's new CBS programming.

First, the new:

Mike & Molly, Mon. Sept. 20, 9:30/8:30 CST -- America's obesity epidemic has left a lot us a bit fluffier, and "Mike & Molly" might be CBS's attempt to deliver a show we can relate to. Unfortunately, that seems to be the extent of the humor -- being fluffy. The main characters, played by Billy Gardell ("Yes, Dear") and Melissa McCarthy ("Gilmore Girls"), meet at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting, fall for each other, and deal with the modern-day problems overweight couples face. Time will tel...

Arrested Development
The family that chicken dances together, stays together. With the February 24 announcement that Michael Cera - the lone holdout - had finally signed on for the long-rumored Arrested Development movie, message boards went bonkers for Bluth bananas.

Cera is easily the most successful and visible post-Bluth. With SuperBad, Juno, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and Sundance darling Paper Heart, this kid has perfected the tentatively awkward comedic timing that made you root for the love story of George Michael and his cousin Maeby.

Where have the Bluths been since we last laughed a...

CBS Adds New Night Of Comedy, Not Much Else For 2008-09 Season

May 15th, 2008 10:59am EDT
New Adventures of Old Christine
Every year, the upfront presentations have a different theme. Ok, so that's not always the case, but it would be pretty cool if it was, right? This year, however, there definitely seems to be a theme emerging. NBC's presentation in April, which seemed to be heralding in an era of change, proved to be a red herring. As this week has shown us, the theme this year is not change. It is stability.

For CBS, leader in overall viewers for the past several seasons (although it is being challenged by Fox in that category this year), sticking with the status quo makes sense. Due to that fac...
