February 20th, 2012 2:27pm EST
Minnie Driver
British actress Minnie Driver has revealed her three-year-old son was fathered by a writer on her former TV drama The Riches.

The Good Will Hunting star gave birth to little Henry Story Driver in 2008, but she refused to come clean about the identity of the baby's father, who has long been rumored to be a TV staffer.

Now, in a candid interview with Britain's The Observer magazine, Driver admits she has no "need to protect" the baby's dad any longer and while she stops short of naming the writer outright, she confesses they were never officially a couple.

She says, "He can fend for him...

And Izzard claims he uses his transvestism to fight intolerance, likening himself to a disguised comic book hero.

He tells the New York Post, "I finished my last tour in Canada in girlie mode, and I'm just back in boy mode now. I consider it a superhero thing. ...

TV Stars Who Deserve Emmy Nominations On July 17, Part 1

July 8th, 2008 11:55am EDT
Boston Legal
Last week, I helped the Emmy panelists decide upon which series to cast their vote for, and now it's the actors' turn.

The Emmy blue ribbon panel received a group of lists from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences last week. These were top ten lists from which they were to select the five nominees for the big Emmy show. They will view select episodes from each nominee and base their decision on what they see.

It's nigh on impossible to glean an accurate impression from a small sample, especially when it comes to acting. Many characters are given complex arcs from which the...

The second season of The Riches will premiere on FX Tuesday, March 18 at 10 PM ET/PT. In "The Riches," Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver play Wayne and Dahlia Malloy, Irish Travellers from rural Louisiana.

In season one, Wayne, Dahlia and their three children broke all ties from their community when an unfortunate auto accident provided them the opportunity to assume the identity of a deceased, wealthy and "normal" family. Tune In To Cable TV For Top-Notch, Edgy Shows

February 15th, 2008 2:00pm EST
Showtime's Dexter
There's plenty to watch on network television, but we have long been living in the Golden Age of Cable. Ever since HBO told us, "It's not TV. It's HBO," we've been hooked. Ponying up the money for cable can be difficult, but these channels make it worth the price.

The Veterans:

HBO has lost many of the signature shows that made it a household name. The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under - they were all instrumental in defining HBO as the channel for daring, intelligent and mature programming. But don't write off the channel just yet. While its new series don't quite match the ...

No boozy celebrities making a fool of themselves. All that remains is an hour-long meeting at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with angry WGA picketers surrounding the premises.

So, until the Hollywood powers-that-be finally buckle down and give the writers what they want and deserve, we here at Starpulse are going to call the winners and losers. We looked at reviews, other expert predictions, viewer attitudes and who we ...

The Malloys are a family of "travelers," roving con artists who live perpetually on the fringes of society and just outside the reach of the law.
