In the British series Red Dwarf, a massive radiation leak destroys all members of a mining ship in space except for Dave Lister, a chicken soup machine repairman. He is revived three million years later and spends time with Holly, the ship's senile computer; Arnold Rimmer, a holographic projection of his dead bunkmate; Cat, a life-form that evolved from Lister's pet; and Kryten, an android.
