Providence (1999-2002) centers on Dr. Sydney Hansen, a former plastic surgeon in LA who quits her practice after her mother dies and returns home to her dysfunctional family in Rhode Island. While getting advice from her mother beyond the grave, Syd must deal with her new career, her veterinarian father, mixed-up sister Joanie, and hustler brother Robbie.
