'Project Runway' Crowns Its Season 11 Winner
On the Season 11 "Project Runway" finale, three finalists faced off at New York Fashion Week, and oddly enough, the ultimate winner turned out to be a contestant who nearly quit in the competition's final weeks. At the beginning of the season, many viewers might not have predicted that Michelle Lesniak Franklin would emerge victorious, but she was my early pick to win it all. In fact, the edgy Portland-based designer was the ONLY one I could envision walking away with the title. Of course, I have no weekly recaps to back this up, but you're just gonna have to trust me on this one. *sigh*

'Project Runway': A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock n' Roll
Last week, the judges got all soft on us and couldn't declare a real loser from the challenge. Still, it was enough to cause Team Keeping it Real (I still think it's a stupid name) to topple from the top spot and for Joe to get the boot. But just when you thought episode four was over, Tim Gunn appeared and said there was some unfinished business to attend to. What could it be? Will the teams get mixed up? Will Daniel trim his moustache? Only time will tell.
Okay, not a lot of time, because Tim gets right to the point. He pulls all of the designers back out to the runway with Heidi and the...

'Project Runway' 10 Recap: 'I Get a Kick Out of Fashion'
This week’s recap of "Project Runway" is a little late. I hope you’ll forgive me. I guess I was celebrating Ven’s elimination a little too hard. Yeah! Can I get a woot woot?
Heidi Klum joins The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall.
Since you’re surely all aware of how things went down on Thursday – and even if you didn’t before, you know now since I just gave away the ending in the first paragraph – I’ll make this recap a little more brief than usual. And I’ve always found the best way to do that is to wrap things up Good, Bad, Ugly style. So, here we go…

'Project Runway' 10 Recap: 'It's All About Me'
This week's episode of "Project Runway" featured the custom textile challenge...and a whole lotta HP products. The designers were also visited by Mondo Guerra, the talented little guy from Season 8 who finished second to the WORST. WINNER. EVER. Mondo was a perfect guest, considering that he won his season's custom textile challenge with his bright "plus-sign" pattern that represented his HIV+ status. With Tim Gunn's help, Mondo explained that each designer was to create a print that represented their heritage, so it needed to come from the heart.

Heidi Klum Sizzles In A Low-Cut, Backless Gown At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
Va va voom! Heidi Klum rocked the runway during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Friday. She may be 39, but she's definitely still got it.
The former supermodel took the stage for the "Project Runway" season 10 finale show at Lincoln Center. Heidi looked gorgeous in a glittering metallic gown that revealed quite a bit of skin on her chest, back and hips.
The model has been showing off her body quite a bit lately. The mother of four has been tweeting photos of herself wearing sexy bikinis.
Heidi has also been struggling with the break up of her marriage to singer Seal, who recently suggested...

'Project Runway' 10 Recap: 'Starving Artist'
No, there was nothing wrong with your computer screen last week — Labor Day travel plans prevented me from recapping that episode of "Project Runway." It was kind of an interesting one, with everyone trying to make their designs Lord & Taylor-worthy, and most of the girls having breakdowns, but it turned into kind of a nicey-nice love-fest when all the designers were deemed "good enough" and no one was eliminated. So since we're starting this week's episode with the same 9 designers that were there last week, it's kind of like a recap from last week wasn't even necessary, right? Please help...

Sorry about the lack of a "Project Runway" recap last week. Perhaps I was particularly busy, or perhaps I was curled up in the corner gently weeping over Buffi's elimination. More than Andrea's disappearing act or Kooan's decision to quit, it's Buffi's aufing that has put a bit of a dark cloud over the Parsons work room. While I would probably never ask Buffi to design my clothes, I would totally want to be her friend. And I would just let her talk to me in that amazing accent all day.
But Buffi's gone and the show must go on. And hey, we've got Raul back. Whoop-de-doo.

'Project Runway' 10 Recap: 'Welcome Back (or not) to the Runway'
This week's episode of "Project Runway" is all about red carpet style. Also, it’s totally about Lexuses. Is that right? Lexuses? Lexi? Whatever. The point is: GO BUY A LEXUS, EVERYONE.
Heidi Klum sends the designers off to meet Tim Gunn at one of my favorite places on earth – South Street Seaport. There, Tim explains that this week’s challenge is to create an Emmy red carpet look (for a secret client) with only $300 and in only one day. Then some guy tries to sell us all cars before handing over the keys to his fleet of Lexuses/Lexi to the design teams. Yes, TEAMS. The gang is split up ...

'Project Runway' 10 Recap: 'Candy Couture'
This week's episode of "Project Runway" begins with Kooky Kooan struggling to wake up and Ven struggling to accept the judges' decision to name Christopher last week's challenge winner. Gunnar Death Rage was concerned Christopher's head would swell after his win, but that would be impossible considering that Death Rage and Ven are pushing the ego capacity of the work room as it is.

'Project Runway' Recap: Season 10 Premiere
"Project Runway" returned last night, and with it came all of our favorite faces – the always-fabulous Tim Gunn, host Heidi Klum, judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, and of course Mood’s adorable Swatch. As for the sponsors (and the product pushing started within the first seven minutes), HP and L’Oreal Paris have returned, but that thoughtfully-used accessory wall is now provided by Lord & Taylor instead of Piperlime. The big question is: are the L’Oreal Paris folks doing hair now, too? I didn’t see or hear any mention of Garnier. No Garnier?? Come on, it’s not an episode of "Project Runw...

Katie Holmes is one of the most stylish people in Hollywood, according to supermodel and "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum.

Holmes co-designs day and evening attire for the label Holmes & Yang she created with stylist pal Jeanne Yang. The partners will make their catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week in September.

Heidi Klum Poses Nude For The May 2012 Issue Of Allure Magazine
Project Runway host Heidi Klum has shed her clothes in a new photo shoot for Allure magazine's annual May 'Naked Truth' issue.
The supermodel, who recently filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, singer Seal, tells the magazine that she struggled in her early days of modeling.
"I was too curvy and too busty and a little too short, and I was a little bit self-conscious about it." she says.
"But I was by no means heavy," she adds. "I just — well, you have hips and boobs, and that's it. Haute couture, you don't really see girls with big boobs. And I always wanted first to be a mo...

5 New Mid-Season Television Shows To Check Out...Or Not
Every Jan. 1, I heave a sigh of relief because I not only made it through another year and survived the frenzied stress of the holiday season but also because mid-season television shows will be unveiled. Like Christmas presents from an adoring aunt, mid-season shows can be just what you need or exactly what you don't.
Check out five new shows you may or may not want to check out:
The Firm (NBC)
NBC took John Grisham’s best-selling novel and big screen hit, “The Firm,” and continued the story in the spin-off of the same name. It follows Mitch McDeere, the Memphis lawyer who brought ...

'Project Runway' Names Its Season 9 Winner
Well, "Project Runway" finally announced this season's winner, and although it wasn't who I would have picked, the judges' decision wasn't at all surprising. However, I'll take predictable over just plain horrible any day, so in that way, this finale is certainly more satisfying than last season's.
In last week's episode, the judges decided to put all four finalists (Viktor, Joshua, Kimberly and Anya) through, despite Anya's lackluster collection. Whether she deserved to make it to Fashion Week based on her past performance is debatable, and I'm sure that Joshua would be willing to tak...

'Project Runway' 9 Recap: The Final Four!
The latest episode of "Project Runway" begins with Joshua mad that Anya is still around and sad that Bert is gone. If you missed a few weeks, you’re probably really confused. But I swear this is still Season 9.
Angry Josh and the rest of the Top 5 hop on a ferry to Governor’s Island, where they meet up with Tim Gunn. 'Project Runway' 9 Recap: For The Birds
This week, the "Project Runway" Wheel of Pimpage lands on L’Oreal Paris, and the designers are asked to “spread their wings” and “elevate their designs.” Oh, enough with Heidi’s clues, everyone’s designing looks inspired by birds.
Luckily, the designers’ muses aren’t the countless flying rats, er, pigeons that dive-bomb innocent people on the New York sidewalks every day. Tim, joined by L’Oreal’s Collier Strong, introduces the gang to a trio of pretty birds from which they may draw inspiration. Everyone’s feathers are ruffled when Tim announces that the group is being randomly split up i...

'Project Runway' 9 Recap: That '70s Show
On this week’s episode of "Project Runway," Garnier takes a backseat and lets Piperlime.com enjoy some big pimpin’.
A Piperlime buyer appears through a secret panel in the accessory wall to reveal this week’s challenge theme: the ‘70s. Eesh. Didn’t the designers just dress those classic rock-ish dudes last week? Tim Gunn and Princess Piperlime elaborate: sophisticated ‘70s. So, the idea is to still make garish clothes, but maybe make them a little more tailored. Got it.

'Project Runway' 9 Recap: Rock That Look
On this week’s episode of "Project Runway," Heidi cryptically tells the designers that “image is everything.” This is the part that Bert hates, when everyone is left trying to put the clues together to figure out the challenge. If anyone guessed that the challenge would be a giant promotional push for someone or something, they’d have been right! But they could pretty much guess that every week and be right. (And now I’m contractually obligated to say, “GARNIER!”)

Heidi Klum's Legs Insured For $2 Million
German supermodel Heidi Klum's legs have been insured for $2 million.
The former Victoria's Secret beauty, who is married to singer Seal, had to have her infamous pins examined before a price could be placed on them.
And Klum reveals one leg is worth more than the other due to an imperfection from a glass wound.
She tells TV news show Extra, "I didn't personally have them insured, but a client of mine did. Basically, I was in London, and I had to go to this place where they check out your legs.

Beware, Heidi Klum Fans! You May Be Exposed To 'Malicious' Content
Supermodel and TV personality Heidi Klum has been named the most dangerous star on the internet.
Fans of the former Victoria's Secret model are more likely to end up with computer viruses after searching for the German beauty than for any other famous face.
According to online security company McAfee Inc., fans searching for downloads of the "Project Runway" judge have a one-in-10 chance of landing on a site that can damage their PC or laptop.
Meanwhile, British talk show host Piers Morgan was found to be the most dangerous male celebrity to Google.

'Project Runway' 9 Recap: What Women Want
The latest episode of "Project Runway" kicks off with Bryce moaning that he's yet to win a challenge. As soon as he starts talking about "proving himself," his odds of being auf'd this week increase to about 90%. Oh, and then Bryce mentions how he desperately misses his boyfriend. Odds of elimination increase to 95%.

'Project Runway' 9 Recap: A Team Challenge Scarier Than 'Insidious'
Honestly, "Despicable Me" was scarier than "Insidious." But that's a discussion for another time. Right now it's all about "Project Runway." More importantly, it's all about Joshua and what he will or won't have.
At the top of last night's episode, Joshua wakes up on the wrong side of the bed. Or he's still pissed about Anthony beating him in last week's challenge. Or he realizes he's just run out of pomade. Or the wind is blowing towards the west when he wanted it to blow in a southeasterly direction. Who knows? Whatever's stuck in Josh's craw is making him über-bitchy.

'Project Runway' 9: Wake Me Up For The Next Team Challenge
This week's "Project Runway" began with Anthony and Bert getting over their issues from last week and calling a truce. Bert didn't want to be a jerk anymore. Anthony didn't want to be angry anymore. Everyone just wanted to get along. Well, that's great. But someone should have told the designers that "peaceful" doesn't have to mean "boring." And boring they were. Even the designers who kept their claws at the ready seemed pretty lackluster this week. Viktor trash talked everyone's fabrics in a bid for more screen time. Yadda yadda. Laura revealed that she's never liked Becky but didn't both...

If the "Project Runway" designers thought trying to please Nina was tough, then they were in for it this week. Not only did they have to work in *grumble grumble* teams again, but they had to pick team captains by running around a track at some ungodly hour of the morning.
Equipped with New Balance tee shirts and shorts, which were apparently slipped in to everyone's rooms overnight by the Fashion Fairy, the gang met up with Heidi and Tim at the New Balance Track and Field Center, where they learned that their challenge was to design looks for Heidi's New Balance line. 'Project Runway' 9: What Would Nina Wear?
While "American Idol" only gets kinder and gentler as the years go by, "Project Runway" keeps finding new ways to make its contestants miserable. Case in point, this week's mission: MAKE NINA HAPPY. Could it be done? Nina's previously flashed something that resembled a smile, but I'm pretty sure it signified smug condescension, not joy.

'Project Runway' Judge Michael Kors Marries Longtime Partner
Designer and "Project Runway" judge Michael Kors has wed his partner Lance Le Pere in New York.
The couple made the most of the state's new gay marriage laws and exchanged vows in Southampton on Tuesday, according to Women's Wear Daily.
Southampton Mayor Mark Epley reportedly officiated the private ceremony, which took place at Dune Beach.
Kors tells the publication, "To marry someone as wonderful and special to me as Lance barefoot on a glorious beach is more than I could have dreamed of."
The couple has been dating for almost 20 years.

'Project Runway' 9: Really High Fashion
The “Project Runway” designers finally got to hit up Mood (with a hefty $500) this week, which means that we finally got to see Swatch again. But why only a super short shot of him as the designers were walking out the door? That dog is a star. He should get his own spin-off. But I suppose reality TV producers haven't yet run out of spoiled rich skanks, oversexualized children and horrible stage moms to build shows around.

'Project Runway' 9: Who Wants To Be The Judges' Pet?
This week on “Project Runway,” the designers shopped at Petland instead of Mood. To make up for the complete lack of Swatch in the first two episodes, we were treated to a few shots of cute bunnies. But it's not really the same, is it? I WANT SWATCH. (At least I have the Mood blog's "Daily Swatch" to keep me going.)
