'Prison Break' Star Wentworth Miller Comes Out In Open Letter To Russian Film Festival

August 22nd, 2013 1:24am EDT
Wentworth Miller
Prison Break star Wentworth Miller has come out as a gay man via a letter to a Russian film festival director.

The actor was recently invited to attend the St. Petersburg International Film Festival, but declined the invitation because of Russia's highly-criticized anti-gay laws.

The 41-year-old wrote an open letter to festival director Maria Averbakh, saying he'd love to attend, but because of the way gays are treated there he has no future plans to travel there.

"Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Ru...

Robert Knepper
The CW is hoping to startle you with Cult, its new series about a TV show that's garnering a loyal - and potentially deadly - audience. TV Wish List for 2009

December 29th, 2008 12:37pm EST
True Blood
It is time to bid farewell to the television of 2008 and welcome 2009 with open arms, but let it be with a sweet, friendly warning. TV viewers are fickle. One day we'll love your show, and the next we'll hate it. Sometimes all you have to do is steer a little off course, or introduce an irritating character, and then we abandon you to the cold. Yet TV viewers can be fiercely loyal, sticking to a show through seasons of awful dialogue just because we remember when it was great. The Writer's Strike put a real damper on new shows and old shows alike this year, but 2009 has a clean new slate to...

It's fall finale time on "Prison Break," folks. Thus far, the season has been chock full of revelations, lies, betrayals, plot twists (both conceivable and far out) and of course, deaths. Plenty of deaths. Did the body count continue to climb in this final episode of 2008? Have we been provided with some answers, or just more questions? Most importantly, has T-Bag's facial hair changed for the third episode in a row?

In spite of airing on the CW, Supernatural has more in common with long-gone shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer than the network's current rich girl programming. In the beginning of "Supernatural" Sam and Dean Winchester were searching for their missing father and the demon that killed their mom. Like Prison Break, the major arc was laid out from the start. As we head towards the fall finale, things on "Prison Break" continue to heat up. Allegiances may have shifted (again), but Scylla remains the focus of nearly everyone's attention. When last we left our old friends, Michael (Wentworth Miller) had been taken in by The Company, and The General (Leon Russom) had struck a "bargain" (word of the day, right Pee-Wee?) with Lincoln (Dominic Purcell). The deal? If Lincoln and his friends are able to successfully return Scylla to The General, Big G will remove that nasty tumor from Michael's brain. Seems reasonable, right? Let's see if everyone...
