Former teen idol David Cassidy is taking his battle for merchandising compensation from his days on 1970s show The Partridge Family to court.

The singer/actor shot to fame as Keith Partridge on the popular ABC sitcom in 1971, before embarking on a pop career.

Network bosses continually used his image to sell products branded with the hit series, but Cassidy only realized earlier this year that ABC executives had raked in approximately $500 million from the merchandise - and he has been seeking a share of the profits ever since.

David Cassidy is seeking compensation from bosses behind his hit 1970s show "The Partridge Family" after alleging he was left out of highly profitable merchandising deals.

The singer/actor shot to fame as Keith Partridge on the popular program and went on to establish himself as a pop star.

Former Partridge Family star Danny Bonaduce is a married man again after exchanging vows with his manager girlfriend in a surprise ceremony last week.

The actor, 51, proposed to Amy Railsback in March 2009, less than six months after finalising his divorce from his wife of 16 years, Gretchen.

Bonaduce recently treated Railsback to a vacation in Hawaii, but she was left stunned when he revealed they were actually in Maui to wed in a surprise sunset ceremony.

Singer William Cowsill Dies At 58

William Cowsill, part of the sixties singing Cowsills family, has died at the age of 58. Cowsill lost a battle with emphysema, osteoporosis, and other ailments in Calgary, Canada, on Friday, February 17, 2006.

The band - which comprised brothers Barry, William, Bob and John, sister Susan and mother Barbara - were the inspiration for TV hit The Partridge Family and had a number of chart hits including Hair and The Rain, The Park And Other Things.

Barry was killed last year (05) when Hurricane Katrina struck his New Orleans, Louisiana, home. William is survived by two sons.
