As a test of will power, Reuben (Dave Madden) tries to get along without smoking cigarettes, while at the same time Danny (Danny Bonaduce) attempts to cut out all fatty foods. It doesn't take long for both Reuben and Danny to become deeply miserable because of their self-imposed deprivations--and when these two suffer, everyone suffers!
