Leslie wants to bury a time capsule that encapsulates life in Pawnee, but an odd suggestion from a local man causes unforeseen consequences. Andy seeks help from Chris about how to win back April.

Tom tries to get back at Ron by going out on a date with Ron's ex-wife Tammy, while Leslie tries to protect Ron from falling prey to her charms. Meanwhile, April is assigned to work with Chris.
Trying to get the word out about the Harvest Festival, Leslie, Ben, and Tom do radio, TV and newspaper interviews. A media storm hits when Ben has to answer tricky questions about his past as a teen mayor. Meanwhile, Andy struggles to win back April's heart, and Ann summons the courage to discuss her relationship with Chris.
Leslie and Ron drive to Indianapolis to receive commendation for the upcoming Pawnee Harvest Festival. Tom hosts a launch party for a local cologne maker in hopes of pitching him his fragrance "Tommy Fresh." Meanwhile, Andy and April discover how to have fun without spending any money.
Leslie throws the town's Harvest Festival, but things nearly go awry when a Native American leader threatens to curse the proceedings.
Leslie takes the parks department on a camping trip when she can't think of a new idea to follow up the Harvest Festival, but the group just wants to get away.
April and Andy host a party for all of their friends, but the party turns out to be a surprise wedding ceremony. Ann goes to a singles party, but is awkward in her flirting.
Lesile is upset when an online dating site matches her with Tom, declaring them "soul-mates." Chris starts a program to make everyone at the office eat healthier, but Ron rebels, wanting to keep eating his burgers.
Jerry causes controversy when the painting he makes for a community art show depicts Leslie as a topless centaur. Leslie is flattered by her heroic image and fights to keep it from censors who want to destroy it. Annoyed by his depiction as a chubby naked cherub, Tom tries to get the painting axed.
Leslie goes to war with her former best friend, now the parks director of neighboring city Eagleton, when her town puts up a fence around a park. Ron worries that Leslie is planning him a party when she reveals that she knows it is his birthday.
Tom takes the entire office out to promote his new alcoholic beverage "Snake Juice." Soon everyone is drunk, and Leslie and Ann have a fight about a job at city hall that Leslie is trying to get for Ann.
Leslie and Ben go on a business trip to Indianapolis, and Leslie turns to Ann in preparation to find ways to keep from showing her real feelings for Ben. Ron tutors a young girl on his views of government. Tom tries to remake the newlywed game, but it inadvertently starts a fight between Andy and April.
Ben has a meeting with Leslie's mother, and Leslie prepares him to impress her, but things get awkward when Leslie's mother starts coming on to Ben. Chris institutes changes in the department, annoying Ron and Ben.
When the town's favorite miniature horse, Li'l Sebastian, passes away, Leslie has the parks department plan a large memorial service. Ron discovers Leslie and Ben's romantic relationship. Tom flirts with a new business opportunity.
