Before Phillip Keene was Buzz Watson on TNT's Major Crimes, he was flying for legendary airline Pan Am - and now he's giving people the opportunity to explore the company's rich history, by partnering with the folks at Palm Springs Modernism Week to host an exhibition from his private collection of memorabilia. It's a great event for aviation and history buffs alike, and BFTV recently checked in with Phillip to get the scoop on how it came to be, and how he left the friendly skies for acting.

"I worked for Pan Am for four years. I was hired by them in 1987 and started flying in 1988 right ...

Pan Am
"Pan Am" star Karine Vanasse has sent out a mayday tweet to fans of the high-flying TV show, suggesting the period drama series about the fabled airline's jet-setting staff is about to be grounded.

The show has been a big hit overseas, but audiences have plummeted in the U.S., prompting TV pundits to predict it will be axed, and now Vanasse appears to have confirmed the news via Twitter.

She writes, "Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we'll give it our all!"

The actress, who plays European flight attendant Colet...

Fall TV: The So-So, The Bad And The Ugly

The X Factor
Thanksgiving is a few short weeks away, and before you slice into those turkeys, let’s take a look back at the new TV shows that are thriving and those that don’t have a Thanksgiving prayer. We’ll break it down by category.

Modest Hits

(We would have had a full-on “Hits” category, but there are certainly no runaways so far.) FOX’s ‘New Girl’ can be deemed a first-season success. The Zooey Deschanel comedy was the first fall series to earn a full season pickup, and for good reason: Its ratings are better than lead-in ‘Glee’ and it’s frequently tops on Tuesdays in 18-49. To date it’s ave...

Christina Ricci plays Maggie, a bohemian girl who plays the part of a buttoned-up professional at work so she can travel the world. Jonah Lotan plays Dean, a cocky new pilot.

Margot Robbie plays Laura, a covergirl and runaway bride who makes her stewardess sister jealous with all the attention she garners. Karine Vanasse and Kelli Garner also star.

Pan Am
Every fall TV season has its share of surprise successes and bumbling disappointments. For every buzzed-about newbie (‘Desperate Housewives’) that turns into a hit, there’s an ‘Eastwick’ or ‘Running Wilde.’

But that’s part of the fun, right? Sometimes, you’ve got to take a chance on a show that could be the year’s new hit and Emmy winner.

There are a lot of prospects for this Fall, and some are more promising than others. Here, though, are the Top 10 we’re most looking forward to – keeping in mind we haven’t seen these ahead of time. These are in no particular order.

Christina Ricca Defends The Women Of 'Pan Am'
Christina Ricci comes to television for the new ABC drama Pan Am. She plays Maggie, the purser to a stewardess crew on the title airline. However, Ricci told the Television Critics Association that Pan Am shows empowered women.

“For the stewardesses, there was a sense of excitement and freedom,” Ricci said. “The questions of wasn’t this an oppressive thing for women, there is sort of this misconception. In reality, the job allowed these women to have a freedom that they were...
