| I watched today's show with Bill Gates when it ran the 1st time. The statistics are frightening and I'm glad you're running it again. However, some things still trouble me. I graduated from a diverse inner-city school--Sacramento High School(previously featured on "Oprah"). We did not have a pool nor does any high school in Crystal Lake where my kids attended.Who broke those musical instruments? Most people in their 60's who played in band still have an intact instrument.Who took the keys off of the computers? What behavior warrants having police and screeners in some high schools? I have done missionary work in impoverished Appalachia. Violence, theft and vandalism are not big issues in this area of our country....only poverty. Certainly Naperville schools are esthetically leaps and bounds better than Harper or any Crystal Lake school, for that matter. But we need to focus on the underlying issues. "Opportunities" are not presented because of the fancy resources but by parents who are having their children when they are already in commited adult relationships and ready to be overseeing their children as they do their homework, write that paper and study for that test. Kids need that guidance to succeed. This is not just an inner-city issue but an American issue as you pointed out, but the focus for "CHANGE" is clear. As Bill Cosby would say, "Come On People". | ||

| miss Winfrey is a wonderful person and my two daughters loves her. All that she has done over the years for needy people especially children is a wonderful thing. One of my daughter just ireport for school on miss Winfrey and thinks that she a great person and as a wonderful personality too. And their wish is to be a guest on her show one day.Domoniqe, Shannon and Allison. peace love and happiness. | ||

| i love her ,the way she cears about people in need. she knows what hard times are like.and she listens to people who need help and trys to get them help.I prey to our FATHER IN HEAVEN that she could hear my sisters story it's the saddest that i know of .maybe she could help me meet Ty Pennington of home makeover. she has lost 3 out of 4 of her kids and the last one has cancer.She had to adopt 2 of her grandkids now she has two more, her daughter died and left two but she only has a 2 bedroom tralier. She and her husband who is not well himself have to sleep on each end of the sofa.One son was killed in a swimming accident, her daughter shot and killed herself.less than 6 mos. later someone murdered her youngest son and his wife to be in cold blood in their on bed.she works to try to take care of the two grandkids she has and the only son she has left with cancer.She needs a home so she can take her grandson who is in a wheel chair and has no dad he was her daughters son.I saw h ome makeover build a big fine home last week so a healthy man and women could get married.my sister is not really able to work and her husband is retired but dose not get enough to keep them all she needs a home so she can have room to take care of her dead childerns kids and her sick son.and maybe have a bed for her and her husband.she has never ask for anything in her life but i'm asking for her my heart is broken to see what she has been throuth.please help me help her. jenny ramsey | ||
