People Who Are Awesome: Shane West

March 4th, 2011 12:22pm EST
Nikita
How awesome is Shane West? He's so awesome that even though I'd already written a People Who Are Awesome column for February, I felt like I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't give him one anyway.

His performances in the Nikita episodes that aired in February were that memorable. As the plot of the freshman spy show ramped up, he took the character of Michael to a whole other level to match.

Most of this season's shows are already out of new episodes, and midseason entries like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles aren't far behind (the show will run out of new episodes March 3). Lost (premiering Jan. 31) will be cut o...

January 3rd, 2008 12:33pm EST
Quarterlife
Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick's "Quarterlife" begins with its main character, Dylan (Bitsie Tulloch), asking, "What is a blog?" and following it up with, "We blog to exist, therefore we -- are idiots." Living up to her answer, Dylan then proceeds to post videos of her friends and roommates online without their consent, as well as videos of herself pondering the existential questions plaguing her mind.

With her introspective narration, Dylan seems to be channeling her inner Angela Chase, but the series' exploration of the minutia of life and love makes it feel more like the cousi...
