Van and Casey Neistat have created more than 200 short films since 1999. In 2003, years before the advent of YouTube, they received international attention for "iPod’s Dirty Secret," a PSA of sorts that warned consumers of the MP3 player’s short battery life. Their success continued with "Bike Thief," a cautionary video chronicling the ease with which one can steal a bicycle (their own) in New York City.
