NCIS: Los Angeles News
TV Ratings: CBS Carries The Week
CBS was tops in the ratings last week, thanks mostly to its most-watched program, ‘NCIS,’ which nabbed more than 19 million viewers and the number one slot. The Eye Network also had three of the top six programs, including ‘NCIS: Los Angeles.’ ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and other hits were in repeats.
Despite a lower-than-usual Spring start, ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ did well with more than 17 million viewers, besting both editions of FOX’s ‘American Idol’ by several million viewers. That show averaged 12.94 and 11.93 million viewers on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Remember the da...

Chris O'Donnell In A Wetsuit - Hot Or Not?
We spotted Chris O'Donnell filming "NCIS: Los Angeles" on the beach in Los Angeles yesterday. The actor dipped his feet in the water and wore a black wetsuit for the scene.
O'Donnell celebrated his 42nd birthday on June 26. We think he looks pretty good for a middle-aged guy.
Fun facts about Chris:
Many years ago he dated Reese Witherspoon. He and his wife Caroline Fentress got married in 1997 and have five children. Chris is the youngest of seven children and was raised a devout Catholic.
Prior to acting he sought a career in finance. He's originally from Illinois.

TV Ratings: CBS Dominates With 12 Of The Top 20 Shows
If the latest TV ratings week was a final exam, CBS would get an A+ and NCIS would graduate at the top of the class. The stalwart once again topped the Nielsen ratings, besting all other scripted and reality programming, even as American Idol geared up for its finale.
‘NCIS’ attracted over 19 million viewers and spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles got over 15 million. By comparison, the Wednesday and Thursday editions of "Idol' attracted 17.7 million and 16.4 million, respectively.

CBS just announced its new 2012-2013 primetime schedule, which includes four new series. The network is also making four key time period moves.

More People Tuned Into 'NCIS' Last Week Than 'American Idol'
CBS was tops in the ratings this week, fueled by the #1 status of stalwart ‘NCIS,’ which reclaimed the top spot. FOX had to settle for second and fourth place for ‘American Idol,’ respectively. ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ was typically strong, and ‘Modern Family’ was the network’s most-watched scripted show.
Perhaps Mike Wallace’s death provided a small resurgence for ’60 Minutes,’ which placed 8th for the week, far ahead of any other news magazine show.
This is also the time of year for season and series lows, and quite a few show fell victim to it, particularly ‘The Office,’ which co...

TV on DVD: 'NCIS: Los Angeles: The Second Season'
This week, CBS DVD released NCIS: Los Angeles - The Second Season. Here's my review of the six-disc set.
The Show
NCIS: Los Angeles has the potential to be something rare - the successful spinoff of a wildly successful spinoff of a successful TV series. While it hasn't quite caught my attention the way NCIS did, it's got a solid core in its two leads, James Todd Smith (aka LL Cool J) and Chris O'Donnell (who will always be Robin in Batman Forever to me), and recent Teen Choice Award winner Linda Hunt (The Unit). It's not reinventing the wheel, but I believe there's a place on televisi...

What To Watch: Viewers Finally Learn Which ‘Glee’ Cast Member They Will Say Goodbye To Forever (May 15-21, 2011)
The number one thing you need to watch this week is “Glee” because after months of speculation, viewers will finally find out which cast member they will say goodbye to forever. That’s right; in case you haven’t heard, one of McKinley High’s own will face an unexpected loss. Cast and crew have been tight-lipped about who is dying, but viewer guesses include Sue’s sister, Puck and Quinn’s daughter, or Kurt’s dad. Of course, this doesn’t mean it couldn’t be one of the regular cast members; ugh, I cringed at the thought!

Oh Lordy, Look Who's 40! Chris O'Donnell
Where does the time go? It feels like such a short time ago that Chris O'Donnell was 17 years old and in the movie Men Don't Leave with Jessica Lange. On June 26 O'Donnell turns 40 years old, something that is surprising considering that even now his youthful good looks knocks 10 years easily off of his age.
He's had his ups and downs as an actor over the years, but at 40 he's on an upswing, so let's take a look at Chris O'Donnell and his rise to fame.

It's that time of year. You've checked out the new shows and by now you know if you love them or hate them. Networks are either ordering additional episodes of their fledgling series or quietly letting them burn off until nobody notices they are gone. And some networks stayed cautiously conservative by looking back to previous television icons and failing miserably (we are talking to you, NBC).

Amy Poehler & Aziz Ansari Talk About The New Season Of 'Parks And Recreation'
Eternally optimistic small town park director Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) spent the first season of NBC's "Parks and Recreation" working to transform a vast garbage-filled trench known as "the pit" into a family-friendly green space. Much like Leslie's steering committee, "Parks" has its own work ahead if it hopes to avoid falling into its own pit of TV oblivion.
"We're lucky that we had a little [six episode] first season so we're still getting into the groove," says Poehler. "I think like any new show you have to get things up and running and figure out where the bathrooms are. It's a c...

The Right People At The Wrong Time: A Look at CBS' New Fall Shows
Accidentally on Purpose creator Claudia Lonow describes her new fall show, a comedy based on a memoir of the same name by Mary F. Pols, as being an unconventional romantic comedy. Jenna Elfman's character is a 30-something - well actually 37 as the pilot is quick to constantly point out - newspaper woman who gets pregnant after a one-night stand with a 20-something (the adorable Jon Foster) who lives in his van. From there, the two move in together because the guy is determined to do what he can to be a good dad, despite being scared to death and not really having a frame of reference on ho...
READ MORETV Shows On The Verge Of Jumping The Shark
The concept of 'jumping the shark' is a fatal one for many involved in television. It all began in the tragic episode of 'Happy Days' in which iconic character, The Fonz, literally jumps over a shark, thus placing a death toll on the rest of the series. Decades later, some TV writers have playfully used the term in decidedly ironic tones, both 'The X-Files' and 'Supernatural' have episodes titled 'Jump the Shark' (Note: a portion of 'Supernatural's' crew are 'X-Files' alum) that tiptoe the line of throwing a series into oblivion.
