The end is here for Discovery Channel's long-running science series MythBusters. Tonight, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will air their show's last episode, fittingly titled "The MythBusters Grand Finale," before a special reunion that also brings back former cast members Kari Byron, Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara.

Saturday's TV viewing is highlighted by a new episode of Discovery's MythBusters in which stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman test out myths taken from the Internet community Reddit.

"Mythbusters," the seven time Emmy-nominated Discovery Channel series that made household names of former special effects wizards Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, will come to an end after its 14th season airs in 2016. The network announced the cancellation on Wednesday.

"Making 'Mythbusters' has fundamentally and irrevocably altered the way I think as a person, as an artist, and as a scientist. I'm glad for the chance to say goodbye with some of the best television we've ever made. I will miss making this show," said Savage in a statement.

'Mythbusters' To Take A 'New Direction,' Axes Kari Bryon, Tory B
"Mythbusters" hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman announced on Thursday night's episode that Kari Bryon, Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara won't be returning to the series.

After 10 years of work on the program, the trio expressed their thanks and love for the show on Twitter. Kari Bryon wrote:

The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters

Hit Discovery channel series MythBusters is letting three of its five stars go as producers plan to take the show in "a new direction."

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, the original two stars on the show, announced following Thursday night's episode that fellow MythBusters Grant Imahara, Kari Byron And Tory Belleci would be leaving the show.

On a Titanic-based episode of Mythbusters, hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman have proven that the movie's heart-breaking ending didn't have to be: Leonardo DiCaprio's Jack could have survived.

While it is proven that the rest of the scene is accurate - Rose would have survived long enough to blow the whistle that alerted a nearby boat, and Jack would have succumbed to hypothermia if he hung off the side of the piece of wood - the guys found that if Rose's life jacket was tired to the scrap of wood to increase its buoyancy, the two of them could have survived.

A passionate eco-warrior who sparked a hostage crisis at the headquarters of the Discovery Channel in Silver Spring, Maryland, was shot dead by a sniper after a four hour standoff.
