Former TV Stars We'd Like To See Back On The Boob Tube

Friends-tv-show-01.jpg
JENNIFER ANISTON: Once the sole reason many viewers tuned into "Friends" during the show's heyday in the 90s, Jen made boys swoon and girls run to the salons to get the most sought-after do of the decade, The Rachel. While Aniston has enjoyed some success with movies such as “The Good Girl” and “Along Came Polly”, we like her best on the tube portraying a ditzy, spontaneous character with a rosy romantic outlook.

GEORGE CLOONEY

Oh, George. Why did you go ahead and become such a movie star? Never mind Dr. Dreamy and McSteamy. You will always be our favorite TV doc. Who can forget “ER”? ...

Life UneXpected
These days writer and producer Liz Tigelaar is a very busy lady. In fact, with episodes of the new Melrose Place airing this fall, and a show of her own creation, Life Unexpected (but more on that in a minute), premiering on January 18th on The CW, she may be one of the most sought-after behind-the-scenes talents in Hollywood! Starpulse.com had a chance to steal a few minutes with Tigelaar to chat about the show, her stars, and how finally getting a (mid-season) air date has changed her show's arc and her own life, and why it might actually be better for her show that it didn't premiere in ...

Slideshow: Child Stars Who Grew Up Normal

September 22nd, 2009 9:45am EDT
Anna Paquin
The media focuses primarily on the failed careers of child stars, their rehab stints and jail time. Lindsay Lohan, Drew Barrymore, Corey Feldman, Britney Spears and Danny Bonaduce are among the celebrities who fall into that stereotypical troubled child star label. However, there have been a few child actors who grew up normal despite the media presence in their young lives.

Jerry O'Connell - The Jerry Maguire actor first appeared in Stand by Me in 1986 at the age of eleven. Following the movie, he went back to school and didn't return to the scene as a full time actor until after he ...

Party Of Five
We all have our favorite shows, especially the ones we used to beg mom and dad to let us stay up and watch. Or the shows we watched with our friends every week and discussed the next day in school because it was the most exciting event in our lives. Most of these shows are played in syndication, but the true fans want to know what's going on with our favorite characters now.

Here are the top shows that we'd love to see do reunion specials:

It's been 20 years since "Saved by the Bell," TV's first live-action Saturday morning sitcom debuted. The show started as "Good Morning, Miss Blis...

Katie Holmes
With the 12-year run of Jonathan Larson's "RENT" coming to a close this September, the course of Broadway's history will be forever altered as the seventh-longest running show of all-time, and longest current show, will be no more. "RENT" touched a generation, not only introducing youth to musical theater but also actually getting them excited for it.

The play also launched stars as well as attracted them in its later years. Brief performances by Neil Patrick Harris, *NSYNC's Joey Fatone, Melanie 'Sporty Spice' Brown, My So-Called Life's Wilson Cruz or American Idol's Frenchie Davis...

Realistic 'Coming Of Age' Shows Desperately In Need Of A Comeback

April 21st, 2008 10:00am EDT
My So-Called Life
Take a look at the television landscape, and you will see a mix of good and bad. There are medical dramas, shameless reality television programs, quirky sitcoms, and sappy TV movies. There are gritty action-thrillers, animated comedies, and shows that break the time-space continuum. There is one television genre that has been noticeably underrepresented: realistic, coming of age programs.

Quick, name three recent programs that dealt with young people finding their way in the world that didn’t pander to the audience, wasn’t a show driven by sexuality, and wasn’t a program that tied ...

Most Popular Rock Bands of The 21st Century. . . So Far

February 26th, 2008 10:32am EST
Audioslave
There are many rock bands out there that have evolved over the past eight years, but only a few of them have really made a difference in the music world today. Of course, everyone has different tastes when it comes to rock music, but when researching to see which bands really made an impact on the 21st Century, these five bands seemed to appear wherever I looked.

1. Audioslave: Audioslave caused quite a hype when they first came together. The band consisted of former Soundgarden frontman, Chris Cornell, and former Rage Against the Machine guitarist, Tom Morello, so for anyone who was a...

Marilyn Manson
It may be an anomaly, but there are some men in the entertainment biz today who won't go anywhere without their guyliner. We can't help but notice that out of the few to publicly don make-up, the ones who wear it so well make the guyliner quotient go up big time! There are also some guyliner looks that are just not making the grade. Let us know what you think!

Jared Leto

Leto, who graduated straight from his acting stint on "My So-Called Life" to lead band man for alternative rockers 30 Second To Mars, looks as if he never leaves home without his guyliner on.

Is 'Quarterlife' A Cornerstone?

January 3rd, 2008 12:33pm EST
Quarterlife
Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick's "Quarterlife" begins with its main character, Dylan (Bitsie Tulloch), asking, "What is a blog?" and following it up with, "We blog to exist, therefore we -- are idiots." Living up to her answer, Dylan then proceeds to post videos of her friends and roommates online without their consent, as well as videos of herself pondering the existential questions plaguing her mind.

With her introspective narration, Dylan seems to be channeling her inner Angela Chase, but the series' exploration of the minutia of life and love makes it feel more like the cousi...
