Adele & Rowan Atkinson land titles on Queen's Birthday Honors List
Singer Adele and Mr. Bean star Rowan Atkinson have been named among the recipients of coveted titles on Queen Elizabeth II's Birthday Honors List.
The 87-year-old monarch has bestowed a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) medal on the Grammy Award-winning 25 year old, while funnyman Atkinson has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire).
Adele's MBE comes during a very special year for the new mum - she picked up her first Oscar in February (13) for co-writing the theme to hit Bond film Skyfall.

Funnyman Rowan Atkinson escaped without citation after reversing his rented SUV into a parked car during a Christmas trip to Aspen, Colorado last week.
The Mr. Bean star was trying to park himself when his vehicle struck a Volkswagen Jetta. Police reveal the accident did result in damage to the Jetta, but no citations were issued.
Reports suggest Atkinson offered to pay for the damage his careless driving had caused.

Rowan Atkinson Blasts Gay Hate Law
British funnyman Rowan Atkinson warns the U.K. government's plans to outlaw homophobic bullying will destroy comedy. The Mr. Bean comedian fears the proposed law, intended to make homophobic slurs a criminal offense, will lead to comedians being penalized for cracking gay jokes.
He says the law has "serious implications for freedom of speech, humor and creative expression".

British comedian Rowan Atkinson insists he's unlikely to star in another Mr. Bean movie, because he doesn't want to return to the franchise any more often than once per decade.
The 52-year-old recently starred in sequel Mr. Bean's Holiday, which arrived 10 years after 1997's Bean, and admits he'll probably be too old by the time he feels like starring in another follow-up.
