Cybill Shepherd has issued a public plea to Hollywood veteran Betty White - she wants to be a part of the former "Golden Girls" star's hit new sitcom.

White, 88, is currently in the middle of a career revival thanks to a SuperBowl commercial, an appearance on top comedy show "Saturday Night Live" and her TV comeback in "Hot in Cleveland," opposite Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.

The concept of 'jumping the shark' is a fatal one for many involved in television. It all began in the tragic episode of 'Happy Days' in which iconic character, The Fonz, literally jumps over a shark, thus placing a death toll on the rest of the series. 3-D Episode of 'Medium' Has 'Twilight Zone' Influence

NBC's special 3-D episode of Medium, starring Emmy winner Patricia Arquette, will be introduced by the legendary late Twilight Zone host Rod Serling. The episode entitled, "Still Life," will be telecast Monday, Nov. 21.
