In this spin-off from the Discovery Channel's "auto-makeover" series Monster Garage, normal-looking houses were remade from top to bottom to conform to the owner's favorite hobby or obsession. Thus, on one episode, a domestic domicile was transformed into a medieval mansion; on another, a structure was converted into a South Sea hideaway; and on still another, the owner created his own "Star Trek" world. The reconstruction was under the watchful eye of foreman Steve Wilson, who also served as host. Monster House premiered June 2, 2003. Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
