If you can't beat 'em, just rip 'em off. "Miss Guided," ABC's new sitcom about a high school guidance counselor, takes elements from several successful sitcoms currently on the air and attempts to string them all together with incredibly uneven results.

The series' premise holds great potential: a formerly geeky student, Becky Freeley (Judy Greer) returns to her alma mater as a guidance counselor with newly great looks and confidence. Upon her return, she is subjected to the politics of high school faculty, which are not much different from those of students.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) - Forget basketball. March Madness is all about figuring out, bracket-style, which jilted woman has it out for Barney.

The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS, 9:31 p.m.) - Jury's still out on whether the Seinfeld curse has infected Julia Louis-Dreyfus - her show has yet to be renewed - so she better hope reuniting with Jason Alexander (as her gynecologist!) in tonight's season finale does more good than bad.

Medium (NBC, 10 p.m.) - The show wraps up its dark and twisted two-parter about Anjelica Huston's kidnapped daug...

Brooke Burns talked to us recently about her new show, Miss Guided (including a sneak peek at the next few episodes,) her upcoming movies, and the importance that her daughter Madison has on her life. She does indeed live up to her IMDB resume which posts “Prior Job Title: Mom.” But she is more. She is courageous, having recovered from a near-fatal accident, yet still does most of her own stunts, is charming to chat with, and kept us chuckling through the entire interview.

We just got our first peek of Miss Guided. Pretty funny stuff! We liked your character, Lisa Germain.

New Amsterdam (FOX, 9 p.m.) - John flashes back to the 1960s when he was a crazy alcoholic.
