Chums Emmy Rossum & Michelle Trachtenberg Have A Girls Day Out

June 18th, 2010 8:05pm EDT
Emmy Rossum
Emmy Rossum and Michelle Trachtenberg headed out to get their nails done at a Beverly Hills nail spa earlier this week. The friends were spotted with an unknown friend, wearing matching trendy Girl Two Doors Down flip flops.

Michelle doesn't look too busy, even though she's unemployed. NBC canceled her drama "Mercy" after just one season. She starred as a nurse in the hospital series. She still does guest appearances on "Gossip Girl."

Earlier this year Emmy recently tweeted about her disgust with Heidi Montag, who had 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day. Emmy tweeted, "It upsets me...

NBC Cancels 'Mercy'

May 17th, 2010 8:41am EDT
Mercy
Michelle Trachtenberg and James Van Der Beek are the latest TV stars looking for work - their medical drama "Mercy" has been canceled after its first season.

Trachtenberg stars as a nurse in the hospital series, featuring Van Der Beek in a recurring role as a womanizing doctor.

But chiefs at NBC have declined to commission a second series of the show, which launched last September.

The news comes after the recent cancellation of a number of high-profile TV shows, including Hayden Panettiere and Ali Larter's hit NBC series "Heroes" and long-running cop drama "Law & Order."

And network ex...

Which TV Show Should Be Saved From Cancellation?

May 5th, 2010 10:51am EDT
Melrose Place
It's that time of year again. The various networks are deciding what to keep and what to throw out as they put together their 2010-11 primetime schedules.

As usual, some shows are canceled early ("Eastwick," anyone?) while others eek it out through the season, desperate for renewal ("FlashForward," "Heroes," and so on).

Network execs are looking at a new crop of freshman dramas, comedies, and reality shows, and they need to make room on their schedules. As a result, poor performing series are given the boot.

So as we say goodbye to some of our favorites that are gone for good ("24," "Lo...

Pale Michelle Trachtenberg Would Make The Perfect Vampire

April 16th, 2010 11:00am EDT
Michelle Trachtenberg
Former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Michelle Trachtenberg showed up at last night's American Museum of Natural History Museum Dance looking quite pale and pasty.

The actress currently stars in NBC's "Mercy" and recently appeared on "Gossip Girl," but we think she would be well suited for "True Blood" or "The Vampire Diaries" due to her very pale complexion. What do you think?

Michelle still has nightmares about her school years because bullies made her life a misery. She told Complex magazine, , "When I was in elementary school, this one girl threw me down a flight of stairs, fract...

Macy's 2009 Thanksgiving Day Parade: Meh

November 28th, 2009 8:51am EST
Macy
So, in the spirit of Turkey Day and all that is holy in the holiday season traditions, I got up too early to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade along with an equally weary Liz Lewis. This year was pretty run of the mill.

Like all years past, NBC rolled in with semi truck filled with shameless plugs, an overload of NBC promotions, and puns corny enough to even make younger kids grimace. The route changed, to the chagrin of all those with pricey Broadway real estate who look forward to this fall classic, and the cast of Glee was glaringly absent. With NBC bringing out some real...

October 21st, 2009 10:41am EDT
fall tv keep or kill
It's that time of year. You've checked out the new shows and by now you know if you love them or hate them. Networks are either ordering additional episodes of their fledgling series or quietly letting them burn off until nobody notices they are gone. And some networks stayed cautiously conservative by looking back to previous television icons and failing miserably (we are talking to you, NBC).

Check out the crop of new series and whether we think they should stay on the air or be put out of their misery. Let us know if you agree!

Pre-Season 2009 TV Report Card: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

September 21st, 2009 12:30pm EDT
Desperate Housewives
Since CNN has such a blast creating a report card to track the Presidency, we decided to have some fun with television. Which networks come out strong and which ones need to do better homework?

MAJOR NETWORKS

ABC: B

The Good: The dramas are what keep us coming back to ABC. Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, FlashForward, and V are worth looking forward to. The one comedy that stands out and may hold itself against NBC's stellar comedies, Modern Family, is worth a few episodes past the pilot.

The Bad: Dancing With The Stars is extremely popular, however sometimes too much of a ...

September 21st, 2009 10:05am EDT
Mercy
On September 23, NBC will premiere Mercy, a hospital drama centering around the ones who pick up the pieces after the diagnosis is made - the nurses. At the core of this ensemble is Veronica Callahan (Taylor Schilling), a nurse who's seen the casualties and fatalities of the Iraq war. Now she must readjust to the civilian world.

Veronica is tough, but at the same time she gets flustered while navigating through her life. There is also a very interesting love triangle going on involving Veronica's wartime lover and her husband, who both work at the hospital. Those relationships are very...
