Reba McEntire's latest sitcom, Malibu Country, has been cancelled by ABC.

The show, which debuted in November, featured McEntire playing a divorced woman trying to reviver her music career. Season one wrapped in March and the network has chosen not to renew it.

"So I guess you've all heard we did not get a 2nd season pick up for Malibu Country," Reba wrote on Twitter. "Not to worry. Everything happens for a reason! Here's to our new and exciting adventure, whatever it may be. SO looking forward to it. Love you all for your constant support!"

The show also featured Sara Rue, Lily Tomlin a...

Reba McEntire has warned fans of her future stepdaughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson not to hold out hope for a huge celebrity wedding, insisting she's adamant the singer will elope.

The Since U Been Gone hit-maker became engaged to Brandon Blackstone earlier this month after a whirlwind romance.

Clarkson proudly showed off her huge canary diamond engagement ring to fans on after the proposal, but McEntire, who is married to Blackstone's father Narvel, is not sure their nuptials will be quite so public.

She tells Us Weekly, "We were having our Malibu Country cast Christmas party a...

Sara Rue
Sara Rue’s real life pregnancy has worked its way into the plot of Malibu Country. Last week, her character Kim revealed that she was in fact pregnant. Astute viewers might have noticed she was already showing, but hiding it behind hats and purses. The writers decided Kim would be pregnant along with Rue, but she said it won’t change who Kim is.

“It’s just who is this person now that she’s pregnant,” Rue said. “So the writers are focusing a little on that but they’ve announced the pregnancy.”

There’s only one storyline that Kim cannot be involved in now. Look for a medical marijuana episo...

TV Ratings: CBS Tops, NBC Wins Demo, ABC Scores With CMA Awards

'Malibu Country
Most of the networks (perhaps with the exception of FOX) had something to brag about in last week’s ratings race. NBC scored the top show yet again with ‘Sunday Night Football,' did well with ‘The Voice’ and was tops in the 18-49 demo; ABC placed in the Top 10 with the CMA Awards and had a strong start with Reba McEntire’s ‘Malibu Country’; and CBS, as usual, selfishly ate up at least half of the Top 20.

There was mixed news for ABC, though: The CMA Awards hit an all-time network broadcast low, while ‘Malibu Country’ was ravaged by critics. Still, it improved on its lead-in, ‘Last Man Stan...
