October 13th, 2010 11:15pm EDT
Tom Selleck
Tom Selleck is urging movie executives keen to adapt his hit TV series "Magnum P.I." into a film to tread carefully - because the show is too important to become another shoot-'em-up blockbuster.

The actor admits he keeps hearing about a film version of the hit 1980s show but he hasn't been asked to be a part of it.

And he's reluctant to give any such project the thumbs up until he knows for sure it will honor the hit TV series and not mock it or his character.

He tells TV Guide magazine, "My fear is, we see too many examples of studios buying the rights to a franchise, then spending $10...

Matthew McConaughey Discusses 'Surfer Dude,' Rumors About Him & More

December 3rd, 2008 12:13pm EST
Matthew McConaughey
It must be nice being Matthew McConaughey. While making the film "Surfer, Dude" - out on DVD Dec. 30 - he spent time with friends and co-stars Woody Harrelson and Willie Nelson. Just minutes from the beach, the cast and crew wrapped filming each day, sat back with a few cocktails (and who knows what else) and hung out. Sounds like more play than work.

So how different is McConaughey from his weed-smoking, naked didgeridoo-playing character in "Surfer, Dude?" The actor took some time on a windy California morning to talk to Starpulse about the film, how he stays fit, several rumors tha...

Harrison Ford's Seven Best Films (Not Including 'Star Wars')

Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford is, without question, one of the biggest box office stars of all time. With the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Thursday it couldn't be a better time to take a look back on the seven best movies of Ford's career.

We purposely left the Star Wars trilogy off the list considering those are not really "Harrison Ford movies" and quite an entity unto themselves. Plus, we do not need every movie on this list being a "Star Wars" or "Indiana Jones" movie. At times we do like to be challenged.

Once a surefire box office success, lately it has...

A Lost Art: Top TV Opening Credit Sequences

January 11th, 2008 11:23am EST
The Cosby Show
The television opening credit sequence is truly an art form. Frankly, it is hard to believe that it has never been considered as a category for any of the major award shows. It should be. An excellent sequence can make a mediocre series good, a good series great, and a great series…well, you get the idea.

Okay, so maybe the above statement is a little bit of a stretch. Still, opening sequences can be pretty entertaining. They may be a dying art form these days, but that is all the more reason to celebrate the very pinnacle of achievement in the field. There have been many great ...
