Joan Rivers Slams Brooke Shields Over Memorial Speech
Controversial comedienne Joan Rivers has blasted model/actress Brooke Shields, accusing the beauty of exploiting Michael Jackson's death to boost her career.

However, her touching tribute has been savaged by Rivers, who claims Shields used Jackson's tragic death to her own advantage.

TV Wish List for 2009
It is time to bid farewell to the television of 2008 and welcome 2009 with open arms, but let it be with a sweet, friendly warning. TV viewers are fickle. One day we'll love your show, and the next we'll hate it. Sometimes all you have to do is steer a little off course, or introduce an irritating character, and then we abandon you to the cold. Yet TV viewers can be fiercely loyal, sticking to a show through seasons of awful dialogue just because we remember when it was great. The Writer's Strike put a real damper on new shows and old shows alike this year, but 2009 has a clean new slate to...

Brooke Shields is baffled by claims her TV show Lipstick Jungle has been canceled because no one has told her yet.
Internet reports last week suggested the plug had been pulled on the NBC drama series because of falling ratings. But Shields insists she still has a job.
She tells Usmagazine.com, "It's not true. They're not breaking down the sets. We're still working. We still have more to do, so it's erroneously presented that we've been canceled, thank God. Our bosses are saying, 'You're not canceled, don't worry. We're just trying to figure out how to make this make sense'."

Five Shows That Suck (But Shouldn't)
PRIVATE PRACTICE
When Private Practice debuted in May of last year, industry bible Variety released a less than glowing review: "Private Practice isn't a full-fledged screw-up, certainly, but so far it is a serious letdown."
The tragedy of the show is that not much has changed in its second season, despite a host of enviable advantages: The medical dramedy is helmed by successful head writer/creator Shonda Rhimes, is a spinoff of Rhimes' consistently popular and buzzworthy hit Grey's Anatomy and boasts a good cast featuring that once-wildly popular Grey's character, Addison Forbes Mo...

NBC Takes A Chance With 2008-09 Schedule, Year-Round Programming
You've got to hand it to NBC. The once mighty network has been reduced to a perennial loser, regularly coming in behind the rest of the Big Four in every conceivable metric.
