Happy 30th Birthday, Cory Monteith!

He may play high school hottie Finn in "Glee," but Cory Monteith is no teenager. The baby faced actor turns 30 today.

The Canadian-born star started his acting career by appearing in several TV episodes, including "Stargate: Atlantis," "Supernatural," and "Kyle XY." He also had small roles in the films "Final Destination 3" and "Deck the Halls."

He got his big break starring in the hugely popular FOX series about a high school glee club. He is currently dating his co-star Lea Michele.

Science fiction has taken somewhat of an upward turn in recent years, becoming attractive to more than the small cultish fan groups and growing to the universal mainstream.

With the success of shows like "Lost," "Fringe," "Heroes," "Battlestar Galactica" and "X-Files," sci-fi is steadily becoming worth investing in by the bigger networks.

Starting in the fall, ABC is releasing two new big sci-fi shows to the mainstream to see if we have a taste for it, and if you're any kind of sci-fi fan at all, these are the new shows you should be looking forward to.

On behalf of Starpulse.com, I was invited to attend the ABC Family Party on Friday, July 25, at the beautiful Omni San Diego Hotel. NBC Leads Television Critics Association Nominations

The Television Critics Association today unveiled its 2007 TCA Award nominations. Once again, NBC leads the list with 13 nominations on the strength of its strong freshmen series, including, "30 Rock," "Friday Night Lights" and "Heroes," which garnered 12 nominations total. Third-year comedy "The Office" received the other nod.

Other newcomers also received recognition. ABC's "Ugly Betty" received three nominations while Showtime's "Dexter" netted a pair. ABC Family saw success in children's programming with their series "Lincoln Heights" and "Kyle XY."

Superman Returns dominated the 33rd Saturn Awards in Los Angeles yesterday, picking up honors including Best Fantasy Film, Best Director for Bryan Singer and Best Actor for Brandon Routh. The superhero blockbuster also won Best Writing for Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty, and Best Music for John Ottman at the annual awards, presented by the Academy Of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.

ABC Family Announces 2007 Summer & Fall Schedule

Paul Lee, president, ABC Family, just outlined ABC Family's plans for summer and fall of 2007 as well as exciting new online initiatives.
