Season seven of The King of Queens arrives in stores this week. Package delivery truck driver Doug Heffernan (Kevin James), who lives in Queens with his wife, Carrie, likes to hang out with his pals in his sports-bar basement where they all kid around and knock back the brewskis. Also on DVD: Doctor Who season two.

First Round of Nominees Announced for 'People's Choice Awards'
Brad Pitt and Vince Vaughn will fight it out at next January's "33rd People's Choice Awards" in Hollywood after being named Best Leading Man nominees. Vaughn is nominated for his role opposite girlfriend Jennifer Aniston in The Break-Up, while her ex-husband has been honored for Babel.
Vaughn is also considered in the Best Onscreen Match-Up category with Aniston. They'll compete with Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio in The Departed and Johnny Depp and Keira Knightly in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

'King of Queens' Joins TBS Line-Up on Monday
TBS welcomes the newest addition to its afternoon comedy block when the hit series The King Of Queens joins the line-up Monday, Oct. 2 and the Friday prime-time line-up Oct. 6. The show, which stars Kevin James, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller, will air weekdays at 5 and 5:30 p.m. (ET/PT), as well as Fridays at 8 and 8:30 p.m. To celebrate the arrival, TBS will present a six-hour marathon of memorable episodes from the series eight-year run Sunday, Oct. 8, starting at 6 p.m.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences just announced the complete list of nominations for the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards. The TNT miniseries Into The West garnered the most nominations (16), followed by Elizabeth I (13), Mrs. Harris and 24 (12), Grey's Anatomy (11), and Bleak House and Will & Grace (10).

Meanwhile, Arthur resorts to blackmail when he's denied the title of "customer of the month" at a local coffee shop. The episode airs Monday, Jan. 9.

CBS Content Now Available on Cell Phones
For the first time, CBS will present its content on cell phones. Throughout December, Verizon V will include breaking stories, as well as features from broadcasts such as “CBS Evening News” and “The Early Show.”
V CAST will carry clips from Letterman’s monologue and Top 10 list as well as highlights from “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” CBS and Verizon Wireless also plan to present behind-the-scenes footage, such as making-ofs and interviews with the casts of shows from the CBS prime time lineup.

Ray Romano To Appear on The King of Queens
Ray Romano will be making a brief return to CBS as a guest star on "The King of Queens." Romano, who won multiple Emmys for his work in front of and behind the camera on "Everybody Loves Raymond," will make a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom, "The King of Queens." The actor/comedian will tape his appearance this week.
Romano has appeared on three previous episodes of "The King of Queens" as his "Everybody Loves Raymond" character, Ray Barone. No word on whether or not he is reprising that character or will be playing a new one. No airdate has been announced for his episode.

Adam West (Batman) will guest star as himself in an upcoming superhero-themed episode of The King of Queens on Monday, Oct. 24 on CBS. With the annual Sci-Fi Convention just around the corner, Spence (Patton Oswalt) asks Doug's (Kevin James) neighbor, Lou Ferrigno, to attend the event as his guest in order to up his credibility among his sci-fi buddies.
