In exchange for a top executive position, George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) primes himself to sell his business to a mega-corporation. That's when he learns that his new contract has a forced-retirement clause -- one that will not only push aside George's best friend Ben (Richard Ward), but also George himself when he reaches the age of 60.
