Having been scolded by wife Louise (Isabel Sanford) for working too hard, George (Sherman Hemsley) tries to keep secret the fact that he is opening up a new dry-cleaning establishment. This requires George to furtively sneak about under cover of night. Naturally, Louise suspects that her wandering husband is seeing another woman -- and her suspicions are apparently confirmed when she comes across a mushy note written by someone named Adele.
