5 Things To Know About 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Finale
I suppose the most shocking thing about this season was Derek’s death. And will forever be marked as the season Derek Shepherd kicked the bucket. Which is why there were no shocking explosions, earthquakes or shootings in the season finale episode “You’re My Home.” Instead, we got an hour mostly focused on the case of the week and Grey-Sloan couples making up and breaking up. Here are five things you need to know about “Grey’s Anatomy’s” season 11 finale.

1. Grey-Sloan Docs Pull Off the Impossible (…Yes, Again!)

Was Patrick Dempsey Fired From 'Grey's Anatomy' Over Inappropria
Rumors started circulating this week that Patrick Dempsey was fired from "Grey's Anatomy" because he had engaged in inappropriate behavior with one of the female staffers on the show.

According to Radar Online, In Touch Weekly first reported the story, which claimed the relationship cost Dempsy both his marriage and his job. Back in January, the star's wife Jillian Fink (pictured above) filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

The In Touch story has since been removed from the website but was reportedly titled, "The Real Reason Behind Patrick Dempse...

The 7 Most Doomed Romances On 'Grey's Anatomy'
They’re never, ever, ever getting back together. I’m talking about all the sunk relationships on “Grey’s Anatomy,” we’ve ranted about, cried over and cursed Shonda Rhimes’ poisoned pen for. Never was there a tale of woe than the love lives of docs at Grey-Sloan. Sorry, Shakespeare; they’ve got Romeo and Julie beat by 11 seasons.

Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey)

No one is safe in Shondaland, including Mer and Der. We watched their twisty romance turn from a one night stand to a sappy family-themed Folger’s commercial. Yet, no amount of candle houses, Post-i...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: Meredith Begins Again With Someone New
Derek is gone, guys. The more we say it the easier it will be to accept. And if you’re looking for a silver lining look how much money Shondaland saves without Patrick Dempsey. Sorry, too soon?

Okay, well, let’s jump into the squeezed in two-hour special—see ya next week Scandal—Rhimes orchestrated in response to distraught McDreamy fans. Meredith has the unfortunate task of announcing, or whispering “Derek is dead” to the Grey/Sloan surgeons before collapsing on the floor.

7 Times 'Grey's Anatomy' Paid Homage To The Show's History In 'H
By now, you shouldn't be surprised that people are still upset about Dr. Derek Shepherd's tragic death on last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy. We know how unpredictable shows in Shondaland can be, but this was a death nobody saw coming, and it was especially shocking knowing that Patrick Dempsey still had another year left on his contract with ABC. Last week's explosive episode, "How to Save a Life," was penned by series creator Shonda Rhimes and certain scenes seemed to pay homage to the show's lengthy past:

"The carousel never stops turning"

Rumors have been circulating that Patrick Dempsey is leaving "Grey's Anatomy" after 10 years of playing Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd on the medical drama. According to Page Six, the actor's "diva" behavior is making creator Shonda Rhimes think about giving him the boot.

An insider said: "Patrick has been acting like a diva and has clashed with Shonda. She suspended him for a while, and the word on set is that he isn’t coming back full time.

"Given all the past problems with Katherine Heigl and Isaiah Washington, there is little tolerance on the show for troublesome talent."

And only took 18 episodes to get her to embrace her wonderful life. I bet she’ll appreciate it even more after this hanky-worthy hour of Grey’s.

It’s fair to say ambiguity is Herman’s enemy especially when packaged as an inoperable tumor living in her head. But, unlike Arizona who is doggedly trying to find a life-saving cure to preserve her future, Herman’s more interested in creating a lasting legacy.

In doing so, she takes on every in vitro surgical procedure within the Tri-State area to teach Arizona. Except for Bailey’s patient. Given Herman’s limited life span she’s pretty selective about...
