'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: So Much For Their Happy Ending *Sniff*
Okay, guys. It’s time to pick ourselves up from the fetal position. Stop rocking…stop rocking. Okay, okay, let’s put a rest to those hateful tweets being sent to Shonda Rhimes, before she sic’s Papa Pope on us. The only way we’ll get through this is together. So, grab the nearest unused hankie “Grey’s Anatomy” fans, and let’s recount the last 24 hours of Derek Shepherd’s life on the “How to Save a Life” episode.

In the first sign this episode would be in the same traumatic vein as the hospital shooting, plane crash, bombing, etc., etc., is the haunting return of five-year-old Meredith, an...

Goodbye McDreamy?

April 22nd, 2015 1:26pm EDT
Patrick Dempsey
Rumors have been circulating that Patrick Dempsey is leaving "Grey's Anatomy" after 10 years of playing Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd on the medical drama. According to Page Six, the actor's "diva" behavior is making creator Shonda Rhimes think about giving him the boot.

An insider said: "Patrick has been acting like a diva and has clashed with Shonda. She suspended him for a while, and the word on set is that he isn’t coming back full time.

"Given all the past problems with Katherine Heigl and Isaiah Washington, there is little tolerance on the show for troublesome talent."

A rep for Dempse...

'Grey's' Gives More Clues On Derek's Disappearance (Watch)

'Grey's Anatomy' Preview Video: Derek Plays Hero (Watch)
On the eve of an “episode America will not forget,” Shondaland is releasing more clues into Derek’s disappearance.

After witnessing a car crash en route to his D.C. meeting, Derek pulls car crash victims out of their toppled car, and shepherd’s (see what I did there) them away from the smoldering car before it explodes.

Quick thinking, McDreamy!! And it more than makes up for the non-existent first aid kit in his car. See the full teaser video below.

However, it’s still a mystery why flashing emergency lights were outside Meredith’s house last week. Any theories? Sound off below.

'Grey’s Anatomy': What Are The Flashing Lights Outside Of Meredith’s Door?

'Grey’s Anatomy' Recap: Derek Is Found?
“Where is Derek?”

With the blue-eyed resident he locked lips with in D.C.? Nope. Based on next week’s promo, for a non-singing “How to Save a Life” episode, he’s speeding down the highway…until he witnesses a car accident. Being McDreamy he stops to save lives.

But, why are there emergency flashing lights outside of Meredith’s door at the end of this week’s episode? Did Derek get hurt in the crossfire? OMG, Was he sacrificed? Hence, the how to save a life theme. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Let’s stick to what we do know: Webber likes to jam to ‘70s girl group Musique’s “In the Bush”...

‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Derek Is MIA

'Grey’s Anatomy' Recap 'Crazy Love': Where In The World Is Derek
Shonda Rhimes swapped the ‘Thank God it’s Thursday’ tagline with ‘Throw Back Thursday’ by re-airing the very first Grey’s episode in primetime. Looking back on the pilot it’s wild to think Meredith and Derek got their roller coaster romance started with a one night stand. Fast forward 10 years later and they still keep the on call rooms steamy.

The “Crazy Love” episode starts with Mer and Der getting in some a.m. sex before he jets out to D.C. to hand in his resignation letter and government issued phone. Peace out, Obama. The Shepherds are at the height of their manic morning routine when...

'Grey’s Anatomy': What's The Real Reason Derek Has Returned?

April 3rd, 2015 8:53am EDT
'Grey’s Anatomy' Recap: 'When I Grow Up' - Amelia Is Near Ruin
“I have everything that I ever wanted,” Meredith brags to half sissy Maggie when finally realizing how blessed she is—being Shepherd’s wife and mom to two healthy kids. She’s complete! And only took 18 episodes to get her to embrace her wonderful life. I bet she’ll appreciate it even more after this hanky-worthy hour of Grey’s.

A grisly trauma involving police—the result of a botched bank robbery—interrupts the Grey/Sloan Hospital field trip of dreams for local eight and 10-year-olds. Webber tried to shield them from the impromptu show-and-tell session involving a cop nearly bleeding to de...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: With Or Without You

Five Things to Know About 'Grey’s Anatomy's' 'With or Without Yo
1. Derek kissed a girl and it wasn't Meredith, but she forgives him.

The “With or Without You” episode picks up the day after Derek returns home. He’s giving Meredith the play by play of how and why a woman picked up his phone. Said woman is Renee Collier, Derek’s research fellow.

Cue the flashbacks of the mentor and mentee—who bears a striking resemblance to Season One Meredith—bonding for 9 weeks over a research project to cure autism. When Derek-save-the-day-Shepherd has a breakthrough on Renee’s stalled project, he invites her to the lab to share the good news in person. Never mind t...

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Recap: Derek Returns A Cheater
If you’re looking for a definite confirmation that Derek has a D.C. side chick—Meredith already paints a descriptive snapshot of her—we might just get it.

But not in “Don’t Dream It’s Over” because as much as you can see a dress is blue and black, some people will view it as brown and white. In other words, things are never what they seem to be, even when it looks like they are. Including a mystery woman playing secretary on Derek’s phone. Yet, to Meredith it’s abundantly clear: he’s cheating. Her theory: “when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras. It means that the most obvious an...

Now that the Grey’s crew has yet another innovatively historic surgery behind them (Herman is happily on the mend, reports Arizona) it’s time to get back to our weekly dose of traumas at Grey Sloan Memorial.

Meredith’s Lucky Streak

Meredith kicks off the “I Feel the Earth Move” episode in the O.R. Alex calls her out for outpatient treatment on his patients. So not only is she using her own work to avoid visiting Derek, but she’s also stealing Alex’s patients. Mer changes the subject by asking him, “Is Jo stalking her?” Yes, she is because she got wind of her surgery streak. Meredith has n...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap 'Staring At The End'– Student Becomes Tea
“I don’t like questions without answers,” Herman (Geena Davis) declares in a voiceover kicking off “Grey’s Anatomy’s” thirteenth episode.

It’s fair to say ambiguity is Herman’s enemy especially when packaged as an inoperable tumor living in her head. But, unlike Arizona who is doggedly trying to find a life-saving cure to preserve her future, Herman’s more interested in creating a lasting legacy.

In doing so, she takes on every in vitro surgical procedure within the Tri-State area to teach Arizona. Except for Bailey’s patient. Given Herman’s limited life span she’s pretty selective about...

Maggie, who happily volunteered to babysit, gently tells Meredith she knows she wasn’t with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) because he called her several times asking for her whereabouts. Happy New Year, “Grey’s” watchers. The TGIT withdrawal has finally been lifted and we’re right where we left off. Derek’s more gung ho than ever to go to D.C., even at the risk of breaking his post-it note marriage vows. No matter, Meredith chucks the symbol of their commitment—the framed post-it note—in the trash. Shattering it in several pieces. (BTW nice touch with the intro, ShondaLand.)

The overarching theme of “Where Do We Go From Here” is adjusting to trauma. But the first step is getting over the shock. Meredith is proactive; she interviews a nanny that will more or less take Derek...
