'Grey's Anatomy' Season Finale Recap: 'Perfect Storm'
Shonda Rhimes warned us that all bets were off for the Grey’s Anatomy season finale, appropriately titled “Perfect Storm,” that put several Grey Sloan Memorial doctors at risk. Warning, major finale spoilers ahead!
Upon learning that Ethan’s father survived his surgery, Owen decides to transport Ethan and his father to another hospital – in a helicopter during the storm. Although he advises Ethan he’s just getting moved to a “safer” hospital, Cristina is well aware that this has to do with Owen’s desire to adopt the boy. Cristina criticizes Owen for not talking to her about this. He insist...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'Readiness Is All'
Here comes the sun superstorm!
During this week’s episode, the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial began to prepare for the massive superstorm heading their way. Prior to the storm, havoc crept up on the doctors while Alex defended Jo’s honor after her domestic dispute with Peckwell, April made a life-changing decision, Arizona kissed a girl (and liked it!) and Meredith went into labor. There was also a flash mob. It seemed like the perfect plotline to storm into a season finale. (See what I did there?)

She says, "I feel honoured to volunteer with the USO and spend time with our nation's men and women in uniform. This trip means a lot to me personally, my father was a decorated Korean War veteran and I take great pride in his service. I look forward to expressing my gratitude to a...

'Grey’s Anatomy' Recap: 'Do You Believe In Magic'
According to Meredith, “There’s no such thing as magic, as far as we know.” She’s clearly right after a magician’s assistant turns up in the ER after being cut in half. Yes, the patient got cut in half with a chainsaw after the group’s magic act backfires. There’s nothing magical about that.
Arizona shares a flirty, yet awkward, moment with a woman named Lauren (Hilarie Burton) after she accidentally takes her coffee from the coffee cart. After their initial encounter earlier that morning, Arizona is surprised to learn that Lauren is actually Dr. Lauren Boswell, the craniofacial specialist...

'Grey’s Anatomy' Recap: 'Sleeping Monster'
During this week’s episode, Bailey is under an intense investigation by the CDC after two of her patients died and one remains in critical condition. During this time she gets the silent treatment, both professionally and personally, by her fellow doctors (excluding Meredith) and friends at Grey Sloan Memorial.
While Bailey’s busy preparing for her upcoming meeting with a CDC representative, Jackson attempts to convince his fellow board members to put out a press release about the current CDC investigation before matters get any worse. Jackson’s outnumbered (as usual) and the team decides ...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'She's Killing Me'
“Patients say it all the time. Tell me straight up, I just want to know what’s going on. Tell me. I can handle it.” At least that’s what Meredith thinks, but her emotions change when she gets her genome results back. As it turns out, Meredith tests positive for more than one of the genetic markers of Alzheimer’s. Meredith and Derek later discuss her mapping results, but Meredith just wants one thing – an updated will – considering Lexie is still Zola’s guardian.
Meredith later suggests appointing Cristina and one of Derek’s sisters, whomever he chooses, to be guardians of their children. D...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'Can't Fight This Feeling'
We open to see Callie preparing for her big speech at the TED Conference. Yes, Callie is speaking at the TED Conference, even though she has a horrible fear of public speaking. But that’s before the hospital is overrun with patients when a gas tanker flips on the highway, exploding shortly after. Before the incoming patients arrive, Alex finds Jo and Jason making out, so he knocks on the window and demands she check her pager. Jo goes downstairs to see a familiar patient she treated the other night. His mother, Casey (guest star Sarah Chalke), explains that her son’s fever keeps spiking and...

The newly named Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital finally opened its ER’s doors prepared with a new machine – the LODOX, a full-body scanner that can complete x-rays in 13 seconds. Not too shabby, right? As Owen, Jackson and April unveil their new cutting edge machine to the staff, they receive a call about an incoming patient who was in a serious ATV accident, so they’ll have to wait before they can test out their new toy.

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'Transplant Wasteland'
As a result of Catherine Avery’s big purchase for her son, Jackson now has the deciding vote amongst the group, much to everyone’s dismay. When he comes in late for their first official meeting together as a board, Meredith, Derek, Cristina, Callie and Arizona appear extremely annoyed. Jackson brings donuts as a peace offering, but the group is not impressed with his – well, the Harper Avery Foundation’s – ideas for the hospital. Although Jackson insists it could take a month or so to reach a decision about the ER reopening, the Harper Avery Foundation is adamant on getting new leadership t...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'This Is Why We Fight'
This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, “This is Why We Fight,” did not shy away from the usual suspense and drama we're used to. Between the secretive meetings, heartwarming moments or the huge gift to the hospital, the doctors of Seattle Grace Mercy West spent most of this episode preparing for their futures as well as the hospital they call home.
Meredith visits Cristina at her old house, reassuring her that once Owen realizes what the group is doing everything is going to be alright. Alex walks in and tells the two he knows something is going on because the nurses walked out, too. Befor...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'Hard Bargain'
Is it the end of Seattle Grace Mercy West as we know it? Not if some of the hospital's top doctors have anything to say about it. The potential Pegasus merger forced the plane crash victims to come up with a crazy solution - pull together their earnings to buy the hospital.
The cold stormy night set the tone for the plane crash victims (minus Cristina, who was preoccupied with Owen) to meet at Meredith and Derek's dream house about their next move. Callie informs everyone about her awful experience at Portland General, now run by Pegasus, describing the awful work conditions. It turns out ...

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: 'The Face Of Change'
Dr. Cahill believes Alex and Jackson are both strong candidates to be the new face of the hospital, so she assigns PR representatives to follow them for the day. Although the two are competing against each other, they successfully operate on a patient who wants to remove her breasts. Interns Stephanie and Jo spend most of their day as prospective cheerleaders for their guys, resulting in continuous mocking from the other doctors. Alex insists nothing romantic is going on between him and Jo, but his fellow roommate, Cristina, tends to disagree. She explains to the group that Alex and Jo are...

TV Ratings: ABC Struggles In Repeat Week
ABC had a rough go of it in the ratings last week, with repeats of shows like ‘Modern Family’ and no new ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ The network placed behind FOX with 5.69 million viewers. That’s saying a lot since FOX continued to struggle, buoyed only by football and ‘The X Factor.’ ABC's highest-rated show was 'Grey's Anatomy.'
CBS, meanwhile, continued its domination, averaging 9.36 million viewers. It placed 14 of its programs in the Top 20. NBC, meanwhile, won the 18-49 demo yet again and had the week’s top show, ‘Sunday Night Football,’ which may very well end the season at #1. The P...
