TV remakes are either hit-or-miss, but with hollywood lacking many new ideas (seems like every other show is a crime drama or takes place in a hospital these days) we've thought of a few classic shows that we think would make the cut and stick around for a while -- if they're done correctly.

Hollywood screenwriter and "The A-Team" producer Stephen Cannell has lost his battle with skin cancer at the age of 69.

The star died on Thursday at his home in California, with his wife of 46 years, Marcia, by his side.

A statement released by the producer's family reads: "Stephen J. Cannell passed away at his home in Pasadena on Thursday evening due to complications associated with melanoma. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.

"Stephen was the pillar of strength within his family and he touched everyone he met. He will be most deeply missed."

NBC might want to consider renaming their show, "The Sylar Show," instead of "Heroes." It was stated that this season would be all about the villains and audiences can't seem to get enough of Sylar, but at what point is it overkill (pun intended)?
