Naya Rivera made sure Demi Lovato was comfortable with their same-sex relationship on "Glee" by making out with her new co-star prior to their first kissing scene.

She told Access Hollywood:  "I made out with her in my trailer before we shot the scene. So then I just, like, warmed her up. You know what I'm saying."

Rivera, 26, plays Santana, who starts dating 21-one-year-old Lovato's character, Dani.

"She's awesome and we're having a blast and we're so happy to have her," Rivera explained.

Lea Michele put on a brave face while filming scenes for "Glee" in New York City on Monday. The actress is focusing on her work following the death of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith, who passed away over the summer from a drug and alcohol overdose.

The actress walked through Central Park wearing a bright pink trench coat, and at one point she leaned over a bridge and filmed an emotional scene for the cameras.

The 27-year-old tweeted that she was filming in the city and shared a selfie in front of the "Funny Girl" theater on Broadway.

The Cory Monteith tribute episode of "Glee" is "beautiful," according to the late actor's co-star Jane Lynch. Monteith died on July 31 in Vancouver, Canada, from a heroin and alcohol overdose.

Lynch, who plays tough-talking cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on the show, read the script for the emotional episode for the first time on Wednesday and is pleased with the way the show's creators and writers have decided to say goodbye to Monteith's character Finn Hudson.

Demi Lovato is returning to her TV roots - she has signed on to no less than six episodes of the hit FOX show Glee.

TVLine reports that the soon-to-be 21 year-old will play a struggling artist named Dani who will be friends with Lea Michele's Rachel and Naya Rivera's Santana. She's also reportedly set to have a few songs with Adam Lambert, who announced he was joining the show earlier this year. Lambert tweeted after hearing the news, "@ddlovato I just heard the news! Lea Michele is diving into her work following the accidental overdose of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith last month. The actress tweeted a photo of herself on the set of "Glee" with the caption: "Feels so good to be home…#GleeSeason5."

Indeed the set of the FOX show must be like a second home for the actress, who starred alongside Monteith for four seasons. The actor died of a lethal mix of heroin and alcohol in Vancouver, Canada, on July 13.

Cory Monteith's shocking and untimely death will be addressed in the third episode of the upcoming season of Glee.

According to Fox entertainment head Kevin Reilly, the actor's character, Finn Hudson, appears in the first two episodes of the season -- both Beatles tributes -- that were filmed before the actor's death, and the third will officially bid farewell to the character and actor.

Following the death of Cory Monteith earlier this month, "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy considered canceling the new season of the series to let the cast and crew mourn the death of the actor. However, Monteith's girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele insisted that the show must go on.

Producers of Fox's hit show Glee have pushed back the start of filming for the show's upcoming fifth season two weeks in order to rewrite actor Cory Monteith's storyline.

Monteith died of a heroine overdose over the weekend, forcing writers to re-do the "massive storyline" that involved his character Finn Hudson. A source told In Touch Weekly that the plotline was a major part of the story and was set to "happen right at the start of the season.

“Everyone on the show was told they were taking a 2 week hiatus until [the producers] figure out what they want to do," the source revealed.
