When the club and the cheer squad are faced with even more budget cuts, courtesy of funds being diverted to the football team, Mr. Schuester pushes the kids to help draft new members for the club while Sue Sylvester schemes to topple the new female football coach. Unable to agree on new recruits, Rachel and Finn are not sure they will be able to come together in perfect harmony.
After Schuester balks at performing a Britney Spears song, Brittany and the glee club go ahead and channel that sexual spirit themselves. Emma's doctor boyfriend makes Will more jealous than ever.
Finn has an existential crisis when he sees Jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich and his prayers lead to positive results in his life. After Kurt's dad has a heart attack, the Glee club rallies around him despite his aversion to religion.
Finn and Rachel throw the duet competition so that Sam and Quinn can win. Brittany takes Artie's virginity but not his affection for Tina.
The Rocky Horror Glee Show
Will decides to have the glee club perform "The Rocky Horror Show" for the annual school musical after learning of Emma's newfound love for the cult classic. Despite Sue's usual scheming, the members of New Directions apply their distinctive style to the show's timeless tracks.
Never Been Kissed
Finn and Sam try to control their sexual urges by thinking of a faculty member. Kurt receives a surprise (and confusing) kiss from Karofsky.
When Mr. Schuester gets sick, a substitute teacher takes over his Spanish class and the Glee club, and winds up winning over the whole New Directions clan. Sue fills in for a sick Principal Figgins and does her best to abuse the powers of the office.
Sue's absentee mother Doris reappears for Sue's wedding to herself. Kurt helps plan the wedding for his father and Finn's mother. Finn finds his leadership skills questioned at school and at home. After fear for his personal safety becomes overwhelming, Kurt decides to transfer schools.
New Directions competes at Sectionals with a different line-up of soloists and numbers than in the past and tie Kurt and his new Warblers group to advance to the next level. Will learns that Emma and Carl took their love to the ultimate level: A Las Vegas marriage.
A Very Glee Christmas
After numerous Christmas-related setbacks, Finn rallies the club to spread some cheer. Artie tries to support Brittany's delusional belief in Santa with Coach Beiste's help. Sue's Secret Santa scheme backfires and she learns a holiday lesson.
The Sue Sylvester Shuffle
"New Directions" and the football squad form a strange alliance. Sue tries to take her cheerleading squad to a new and dangerous level but takes her frustration out on the school after she is denied a human cannon.
Silly Love Songs
Kurt comes to Blaine's aid for a cute Valentine's Day stunt that ends up not leading to love. Puck serenades new girl Lauren. Finn tries to win Quinn back with a kissing booth scheme.
Rachel enlists Brittany to help improve her social standing. Sam learns the value of looking and singing like Justin Bieber.
Blame It on the Alcohol
The New Directions kids learns the consequences of alcohol consumption in their personal and performance lives.
Holly gives the New Directions members a dose of sexual enlightenment.
The kids of New Directions decide to write and perform their own original songs when they face a tough Regional competition with judges Tammy Jean Albertson and Sister Mary Constance, as well as rival groups Aural Intensity and the Warblers. Quinn plots to get back Finn's affections.
A Night of Neglect
The glee club performs a benefit concert to support the quiz team, performing songs by "neglected" artists, but Sue plants hecklers in the crowd to sabotage the concert.
Born This Way
When Rachel's nose is broken during dance practice, she considers getting a nose job, leading Mr. Schuester to teach the glee club about accepting themselves for who they are.
Problems strike when Sue Sylvester restarts the school's newspaper and turns it into a gossip rag, inciting conflict across the school. The glee club sings the songs of Fleetwood Mac's album "Rumours." April Rhodes comes back after the unsuccessful end of her Broadway show and tries to get Will to tour with her.
Principal Figgins asks the glee club to perform at the prom, upsetting Sue. Drama erupts when Kurt is voted prom queen, as everyone explodes with hurt feelings.
Jessie St James becomes a consultant for the glee club, but soon starts conflict within the ranks when he makes everyone audition to be the featured star of the club. The club supports Sue in her grief when her sister dies, attending the funeral and singing for her.
The Glee club heads to New York City to compete in the national championships, where everyone becomes enamored of the city at the expense of preparing for the show. Finn and Rachel get back together, kissing after their duet, though she has misgivings since she knows she will move to New York after high school. The team does not place high in the standings, but handles the loss with grace, preparing to continue next year.
