Jodie Sweetin Not Married For Third Time!

4/14/2010 8:24am EDT
Jodie Sweetin
A representative for embattled former child star Jodie Sweetin has dismissed reports the actress has married for a third time.

According to online speculation on Tuesday, the Full House star had walked down the aisle with DJ Morty Coyle after just three months of dating.

However, a spokesperson for the 28 year old - who has battled alcohol and drugs problems - insists the rumors are false. The rep tells UsMagazine.com, "The reports are not true. She is not married again."

Sweetin married cop Shaun Holguin in 2002, and divorced four years later. She went on to wed Cody Herpin in 2007, ...

The Best And Worst Of Martin Scorsese

2/17/2010 9:48am EST
Shutter Island
With Shutter Island about to open, cineasts are holding their collective breath wondering if the latest film from legendary director Martin Scorsese will add to his legacy or continue what some perceive as a decline from the Robert De Niro era to the Leonardo DiCaprio years. Take a look back at the best and worst of Scorsese's four-decades-plus career:

Paul Newman and Tom Cruise star in this superfluous sequel to the 1961 pool hall classic, The Hustler. Cruise is in full-on cocky mode (whether that's good or bad is up to you), while Newman seems to...

How 'Modern Family' Is Saving The Family Sitcom

1/16/2010 10:15am EST
Modern Family
This article hopefully will serve as an adequate mea culpa. In a fall article we mentioned that 'Modern Family' was weak, formulaic, and full of hyperbolic stereotypes. In short, not worth staying on the ABC schedule. It did not take the recent Golden Globe nomination for Best TV Series- Musical or Comedy to change our view.

Thanks to a day off and time to kill on Hulu, we watched the second episode of the show. Needless to say, lunch was skipped, all remaining episodes were viewed, and we realized how unrepresentative a pilot can be. Now we are such unwavering fans of the show th...

Slideshow: Other Actresses Worthy Of 'Cougar Town' Residency

9/28/2009 11:45am EDT
Cougar Town Residents
Cougar Town premiered on ABC last week, shining the spotlight on a subject that has fascinated young men since the beginning of time. Courtney Cox is a perfect choice to head the cast, but unfortunately that seems to be where the good decisions end. The only other cougar on this show is Christa Miller (the sort-of attractive female friend from The Drew Carey Show), and she's not so much a cougar as she is someone who inspires the phrase "She must have been hot back in her prime." The female cast is rounded out by Busy Philipps, who is certainly attractive, but only 30 and still far removed ...

TV Reunions We'd Like To See

8/28/2009 10:02am EDT
Party Of Five
We all have our favorite shows, especially the ones we used to beg mom and dad to let us stay up and watch. Or the shows we watched with our friends every week and discussed the next day in school because it was the most exciting event in our lives. Most of these shows are played in syndication, but the true fans want to know what's going on with our favorite characters now.

Here are the top shows that we'd love to see do reunion specials:

It's been 20 years since "Saved by the Bell," TV's first live-action Saturday morning sitcom debuted. The show started as "Good Morning, Miss Blis...

Candace Cameron Returns To TV On 'Make It Or Break It'

6/29/2009 11:02am EDT
Candace Cameron
If you only remember Candace Cameron as the oldest daughter on Full House, she's back with a grown-up part and a new name. Now married as Candace Cameron Bure, she co-stars in ABC Family's upcoming series "Make it or Break It." The show is about competitive high school gymnasts, but Bure doesn't tumble on the mats or split on any beams.

"A couple of things attracted me to the show itself," she said. "I loved the sports aspect of it and the competition aspect and the competitive nature of the show itself because I've kind of been in the sports world for the past 13 years with my husband b...

Interview: Candace Cameron Bure Is Back In Your Living Room Starting June 22

6/5/2009 11:20am EDT
Candace Cameron Bure
We watched her grow up on "Full House" as DJ Tanner. Now Candace Cameron Bure is a wife and mother of three who can be found on the new ABC Family series Make It Or Break It. Candace chatted with Starpulse about what it takes to break successfully away from being a child star and how important family is in her life.

SP: We grew up watching you on "Full House," how does it feel to be back on a series?

CB: I'm really excited, it's really fun and I wasn't expecting to go back to series television but I really liked the show and the concept. Fans are starting to find out that I'm c...

Young Hollywood: The Good, The Bad & The Survivors

5/11/2009 9:46am EDT
Young Hollywood
Imagine waking up tomorrow rich and famous with the world at your fingertips. Now imagine being a teenager waking up rich and famous with the world at your fingertips. As if teenagers aren't rebellious enough, pump up their bank accounts with mad cash, allow them access to any bar or club and have the paparazzi follow them around constantly. It completely makes the situation teeter on a thin line of normalcy and catastrophe.

For every child actor who turns to drugs/drinking and become disasters, there are a few who have grown up in the media and blossomed into decent human beings. Wh...

3/16/2009 11:10am EDT
Mary-Kate Olsen
Mary-Kate Olsen showed up at The Metropolitan Opera House 125th Anniversary Gala in NYC yesterday in desperate need of a tan. Her extremely pale skin, bright red lipstick, and "I just got out of bed" hair make us wonder how the cute Michelle Tanner ended up looking like this.

What do you think of Mary-Kate's style? Let us know in the comments!

Five Most Underrated & Overrated TV Shows At Comic-Con

8/8/2008 10:31am EDT
Two weeks ago, nerds, geeks, and those "just going to San Diego for the weekend to check out the beaches" poured into Comic-Con 2008 in all their "Babylon 5"-clad glory.

Comic-Con is an ever-evolving beast. It started as a few dozen collectors meeting in a basement in San Diego to trade and discuss comics. Now it is an event so massive it shuts down an entire city for the weekend.

Comic-Con also holds a tremendous amount of power nowadays. Nervous directors unveil scenes from their latest superhero big-screen opus to the attendees, well-aware that a lukewarm response could spe...

Celebrity Fashion Review: Midsummer Dreams And Nightmares

7/9/2008 10:37am EDT
Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith
We are already midway through summer and the red carpet fun fair is a never ending saga. Celebrity fashion does not stop for any season. Summer time, by far, is when Hollywood types of all sorts come out with guns a blazing. Some leave us with midsummer dreams, while others leave us with midsummer nightmares.

Midsummer dreams

The couple that gets 'jiggy wit it,' dresses well together. The couple that is happy together is a matching pair. This is always the case for Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith; obviously, there was no exception on June 30 at the Hollywood premiere at G...

Funny Film Cameos

6/2/2008 10:13am EDT
Ben Stiller
A cameo used to refer to a famous person who made an appearance in a film as him or herself. Now actors play small parts as a character in a film for comic relief. Most cameos are non-credited due to the shortness of the screen time or because they are so famous they don't need a big credit. Some are publicity stunts. Others pay tribute to that actor's work in a similar role, but they are all for the most part hilarious. Following are 10 of film's funniest cameos in no particular order:

Will Ferrell as the pompous and entertaining Chazz Reinhold in Wedding Crashers

Once an accomp...

Our Favorite Fictional TV Towns

5/22/2008 8:30am EDT
South Park
Many television series are based in real-life cities (Full House - San Francisco; Family Matters - Chicago; and Beverly Hills, 90210 - Beverly Hills). Even though several TV towns are fictional, TV fans can't help but wonder what it'd be like to live there.

Here's a look at some of our favorite fictional TV towns:

Stars Hollow, Connecticut (Gilmore Girls)

Stars Hollow, which was founded in 1779, is a small town in Connecticut that's home to some very eccentric characters. From Rory and Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), to the grouchy Luke Danes and the always stranger Kirk, ther...

Top 10 Corniest 80's TV Theme Songs

5/12/2008 9:02am EDT
The Facts Of Life
In today's TV climate, several shows don't even bother with theme songs (Lost, for example). Or the songs are barely a blip on the screen (Grey's Anatomy). That wasn't the case 20 years ago.

If you're a child of the 80s, there's something nostaligic about the decade's TV theme songs. But there's also something really hokey about them too. Here's our list of the corniest 80's TV theme songs:

10. Facts of Life

This song is really stupid, but you have to admit that the guys here on Scrubs nail it to the point where it's hard to say whether or not it should even make the list. ...

What Are Your Favorite TV Bloopers?

4/19/2008 2:00am EDT
The OC
Bloopers. We all laugh at them. Sometimes we can't help but watch closely for them. Some bloopers are harder to notice, but we still spot them. Here is a sampling of some great TV bloopers.

Gilmore Girls

During the first season viewers hear Lane (Keiko Agena) talking about her parents, but we never meet her father. In one episode, after Lane moved out, she snuck back home and into her mom's room and only her mother was sleeping in the bed.

Sean Gunn (Kirk) first appeared in the second episode as Mick who was at the Gilmore's house to install the DSL that Emily (Kelly Bishop) ord...

Hollywood's Latest Fashion Accessory: The Baby

4/14/2008 4:50pm EDT
Preggers Jessica Alba
Having a baby seems to be in vogue these days. From the very young to the nearly middle aged, celebrities are popping out kids quicker than the networks are inventing new reality shows. And for some, shotgun weddings also seem to be the "it" thing to do in Hollywood.

Rumors that Ashlee Simpson and Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz were expecting turned out to be false, but 17-year-old Jamie-Lynn Spears is expecting a child with her new fiancée Casey Aldridge.

Jamie-Lynn Spears will be a teenage mom

Defining Greatness: The One-Hit Wonder Scale

2/26/2008 11:14am EST
Vanilla Ice
Probably the most underrated term in the music industry is the "One Hit Wonder." Popularized in the 80s, one hit wonders are either regarded as artists with one hit (like Deee-Lite’s "Groove is in the Heart"), or artists who produced a song that everybody knows (like "Turning Japanese" by The Vapors).

However, the truth of the matter is that one hit wonders actually come in many shapes and sizes. There are hits that are huge one day and laughable the next, there are hits that are mildly spectacular at first but ultimately propel the careers of the artists who recorded them, and there a...

The Future Seems Bright For '27 Dresses' Star James Marsden

2/1/2008 10:52am EST
James Marsden
Chances are you've come across James Marsden's dimples on the big screen and been charmed by the man behind them. There's a boyish quality to Marsden, but there's also strong leading man potential, which Marsden is finally beginning to enjoy.

After playing a string of good boys who can't quite hold onto the girl in films such as X-Men, Superman Returns and The Notebook, Marsden joked to Entertainment Weekly that his action figure line would be called, "'The Other Guy Series'-the guy-that-doesn't-get-the-girl action figures."

Marsden isn't destined to be "The Other Guy" much long...

20 Years Later: Where Are The Stars Of 'Full House' & 'The Wonder Years?'

1/15/2008 2:23pm EST
John Stamos
It's hard to imagine that it's been 20 years since we were first introduced to the Tanner family, Winnie Cooper and Kevin Arnold. What happened to some of our favorite prime time stars two decades after they charmed us on the small screen?

Full House (1987-1995)

"Full House" was a show about talk show host Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) who was raising his three girls with his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and his best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) after his wife Pam is killed by a drunk driver. You laughed, you cried and you learned a lesson all in one episode.

Remember These Overused Catchphrases?

1/3/2008 3:50pm EST
Ever cringe whenever a television character keeps on saying the same remark over and over again? A lot of fans can't help but associate certain TV characters based on their most popular catch phrase, and this isn't always a good thing.

From "Have mercy!" to "How you doin'?" we can't help but remember certain catch phrases because these characters have used them over and over… and over again.

A good chunk of the most overused catch phrases in television history have come from the popular 80s sitcom "Full House." Just mention this show and three phrases will come to mind: Uncle Jes...

80's TV Stars: Where Are They Now?

10/16/2007 10:35am EDT
Danica McKellar
Nothing makes you feel older than when you realize that 1987 was 20 years ago. Those of us born and/or raised in the 1980s remember a time of outrageous fashion, outrageous music, and most of all, outrageous television.

But most of us have also made the transition from the 1980s to the present day with relative ease - we've put away our scrunchies, retired our parachute pants, cut out our shoulder pads, and we've moved onwards and upwards (into the stylized 00s).

But what about the television stars we love and hate? Did they ever manage to leave it all behind? Starpulse is sick ...
