'Flushed Away' & 'Cars' Vie For Animation Awards
Flushed Away and Cars look set to dominate this year's Annie Awards for film and television animation, landing nine nominations each. Animation giants Disney-Pixar and DreamWorks will go head-to-head for the top animated feature award at the ceremony, widely seen as the pathway to the Oscars, as all previous recipients have gone on to triumph in the best animated feature category at the Academy Awards later that month.

Kelsey Grammer Wins Emmy for 'Simpsons' Role
Kelsey Grammer picked up his fifth Emmy on Wednesday when he was honored for Outstanding Voiceover Performance for The Simpsons. Grammer's voice work for Bart Simpson's nemesis Sideshow Bob on the animated comedy was lauded by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, but he will have to wait until August 19 to pick up his prize at Hollywood's Shrine Auditorium.

The controversial "Trapped In The Closet" episode of South Park, which poked fun at Tom Cruise, is the cheeky installment which earned creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone an Emmy Awards nomination yesterday.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences just announced the complete list of nominations for the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards. The TNT miniseries Into The West garnered the most nominations (16), followed by Elizabeth I (13), Mrs. Harris and 24 (12), Grey's Anatomy (11), and Bleak House and Will & Grace (10).
