Seth MacFarlane To Star In Live-Action Sci-Fi Series For FOX
Seth MacFarlane is known for creating Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show and Bordertown for FOX, but now he'll be moving in front of the camera as the star of an upcoming live-action science fiction TV series for the network.

FOX announced this week that it has given a straight-to-series order for the as yet untitled MacFarlane project, which is set 300 years in the future and focuses on the motley crew of the not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory spaceship Orville. Part comedy and part drama, the show's official description gives a nod to Star Trek, promising "to boldly go where no...

'Family Guy' Movie Confirmed?

Seth MacFarlane Says 'Family Guy' Movie Is Happening 'Soon'
Adult cartoons like 'South Park' and 'The Simpsons' have made the transition to the silver screen multiple times over the last two decades, often to great critical and commercial success. Despite this fact, fans of 'Family Guy' have been left with nothing more than the regular TV show and a few direct-to-video spin-offs to get excited about. But that may be changing soon, according to series creator Seth MacFarlane.

MacFarlane got up the hopes of 'Family Guy' fans everywhere on Wednesday when he responded to a fan asking about the possibility of a 'Family Guy' movie on Twitter.

Did A 2009 Family Guy Joke Predict Bruce Jenner's Sex Change?

6/4/2015 2:12pm EDT
Family Guy
A 2009 episode of Family Guy is making news because of Bruce Jenner's recent gender transition to a woman named Caitlyn.

During the episode, characters from the show referred to Jenner, then still male, as a woman who had given birth to son Brody.

Stewie Griffin and Brian the dog (both voiced by Seth MacFarlane) are seen at a party and the two characters argue over whether or not Jenner is a man or woman.

While there, Stewie spots reality star Brody Jenner and has some choice words about he and his then father.

"Ugh, there's Brody Jenner, God, what a douchebag," the sharp-tongued tot sa...

This YouTube Star's Cover Of 'Uptown Funk' Is Really Funky -- See Why!

YouTuber Voice Impressionist Sings 'Uptown Funk' Using 'Family G
The Mark Bronson and Bruno Mars song "Uptown Funk" is currently blowing up on the charts, but you've never heard the hit sung like this before.

A YouTuber named Mikey Bolts has released a unique cover of the song, sung entirely in cartoon voices. The impressionist has particularly great takes on Peter Griffin, Stewie and Joe Swanson from the hit Fox show Family Guy.

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane probably isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but if he ever needs a day off, we now know just the guy for the job.

Bolts also throws in a few voices from other popular adult cartoons like "...

'Family Guy' Season 13, Episode 2 Recap: 'The Book of Joe'

'Family Guy' Season 13, Episode 2 Recap: 'The Book of Joe'
This episode had a lot of promise, but also a lot of recycled material...

If we wind the clocks back several seasons and remember Peter's attempt at writing a TV show with the ever-popular "Handy-Quacks" idea, then his involvement in Joe's writing career seems a little bit recycled on the part of the Family Guy writing staff. By the end of the episode when Peter tried to write his own sequel to Joe's book under the Pen name of David Chicago it seemed all too familiar.

It was, however, an enjoyable episode to watch for various individual laughs. This, as was mentioned in the season previ...

'Family Guy' Season 13 Premiere: 'The Simpsons Guy' Was A Little Weird

'Family Guy' Season 13 Premiere: 'The Simpsons Guy' Was A Little
That was... interesting.

The crossover episode between Family Guy and The Simpsons was an interesting idea that could have had a lot of promise - and before we get into it here, the episode was not bad by any means - it was just weird.

The writers at Family guy clearly made a huge effort to please The Simpsons` audience by proving on a number of occasions that The Simpsons has been a far more successful show for a lot longer than Family Guy. Even during the final 'fight scene' between Peter and Homer there was a direct reference to the awards literally being thrown in Peter's face by Hom...

6 Great Canceled TV Shows That Came Back From the Grave
Ted Sarandos, chief content officer over at Netflix was quoted last month as saying that another season of Arrested Development on the streaming service was a question of "when" at this point. That's not surprising considering Arrested Development was essentially the first major show to film exclusively for the network after the company opted to bring it back from the dead after its three year network TV run came to an end.

While the Netflix angle is what made AD's rise from the grave so notable, it's not the first show to get re-greenlit after getting canceled. Here are six other great TV...

Petter Griffin And Homer Simpson Duke It Out In 'Family Guy'-'Simpsons' Crossover Preview

Petter Griffin And Homer Simpson Duke It Out In 'Family Guy'-'Si
One would assume Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson, the patriarchs of Family Guy and The Simpsons, could easily be best buddies. However, a debate over beer has the two FOX characters trading blows in a five-minute preview that aired at Comic-Con.

The two FOX stars and their families appear to hit it off at first, sharing donuts and prank calls (which leads to Stewie making an unfortunate rape joke). Peter also manages to include Homer in one of Family Guy's infamous cutaway gags, where the two are World War I aces and have to "carry" Bob from Bob's Burgers.

However, things sour when Home...

The 10 Most Annoying TV Kids Of All Time!
Character-driven storylines are the life breath of any avid television watcher. The more interesting, the better. Still, in order to flesh out a main character, several sub characters need to be added. Often times, they are younger. Unless there are substantial reasons why a particular child character is added to a new or existing show, they fall by the wayside, not pushing the plot forward and often, holding it back. These television kids all have one thing in common, their presence on their shows is ultimately annoying.

Rihanna Shares Photo Of 'Family Guy' Peter Griffin Wearing Her See-Through CFDA Gown

6/6/2014 12:21am EDT
Peter Griffin
Who wore it better: Rihanna or Family Guy Peter Griffin?

The singer shared a side-by-side image of herself with the animated TV character wearing the same, now infamous, see-through dress that Ri-Ri wore on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards Monday night.

The Bajan singer had the internet buzzing Tuesday morning when photos of her were released online and revealed that she left little to the imagination in a shimmering, curve-hugging see-through gown and just a nude thong on underneath.

The singer's exposed backside and her nipples were clearly visible in the dress, which showed off why s...

Fall TV 2014: A Night By Night Comparison Of What May And May Not Work

Fall TV 2014: A Night By Night Comparison Of What May And May No
Now that all the big networks have revealed what they’ll be showing us this fall, let’s take a look at what may or may not work.

ABC is essentially playing it safe, and keeping Sunday Night intact. American Crime will swap for Resurrection at midseason. Resurrection was a buzzy drama that started seeing a ratings decline. Not waiting till midseason is probably a smart move. You don’t want to lose any more audience. It’s not a winning strategy, but ABC just doesn’t want to be in last place.

NBC has football, another super safe move. CBS is shaking things up, banishing Amazing Race...

Mikey Bolts
Youtuber 'Mikey Bolts' is renowned for his truly spot on Family Guy impersonations. Lately, he's taken to singing popular tunes in the style of numerous characters from the show. And let us just say, he NAILS IT. Seriously. He kills it. Songs that we didn't even like, are now bearable.

The latest rendition? Pharrell's incredibly jubilant tune 'Happy.' Between his imitations and expressions, Mikey Bolts really makes this already lovable song even more memorable.

For giggles, we'll also include another incredibly catchy song he redid - Ke$ha & Pitbull's 'Timber.'

The Best And Worst Resurrections Of TV Characters

12/18/2013 11:07am EST
Family Guy
Brian from Family Guy was resurrected via some time-traveling tomfoolery Sunday night, making him the latest TV character to be brought back from the dead. We can't say we were surprised by his return, considering Family Guy might as well be called "The Stewie and Brian Show" these days. However, it did get us thinking about some of the best and worst resurrections of TV characters…

Worst: Stewie, Family Guy. Let's stick with Family Guy for our first choice. Yes, it was necessary for Stewie to come back to life due to his popularity on the show. However, when Stewie "died" in a computer pr...

Family GUy
The beloved dog from "Family Guy" has been brought back from the dead. Last month, Brian Griffin was killed in a car accident, but on Sunday night'e episode, "Christmas Guy," Stewie concocted a time travel plan to save the canine.

During last night's episode, Stewie and new pet mutt Vinnie go to the mall to ask Santa for help bringing back Brian. That doesn't work, but Stewie suddenly remembers he has a time machine in his backpack. He is then able to go back in time just moments prior to Brian's death.

"You're alive my friend! I couldn't live without you so I came back from the future to...

'Family Guy' Producers Respond After Hoax Website Gains Popularity

11/26/2013 10:03pm EST
Family Guy
The producers of Family Guy have released a statement after a hoax website apparently claimed the return of Brian to the animated show.

A website appeared titled "Brian's Announcement" promised a "Special announcement from Brian" on December 6th at noon. In the background is a car driving into Quahog and the website features links to official social media accounts and websites of FOX and Family Guy.

Conspiracy theorists quickly shared the website and its ticking clock, theorizing FOX killed off Brian the dog to boost faltering ratings and to sell merchandize featuring the departed pup - o...

2013 Fall TV Preview: The Returning Shows On FOX

New Girl
We've reached the end of the 2013 Fall TV Preview.

BONES returns Monday, September 16 at 8PM

Booth and Bones find a friend in the priesthood. The priest will help counsel the couple. Oh, he's an ex-priest now working as a bartender. A wedding's in the works for Bones and Booth. Apparently, the wedding will happen. I've found absolutely nothing about Bones solving murders. The early going of the season seems focused on romance.

NEW GIRL returns Tuesday, September 17 at 9PM

I've heard a few interviews with New Girl creator, Liz Meriweather. I really dig listening to her talking about wri...

Seth MacFarlane Outraged Over 'Family Guy' Boston Marathon Bombing Hoax

4/17/2013 2:02pm EDT
Seth MacFarlane
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has spoken out about a recent video in which clips from the March 17 episode of his Fox show were edited together to make it appear that the show predicted -- or inspired -- Monday's bombings at the Boston Marathon.

Two scenes from the show were rearranged to make it appear that the show's main protagonist, Peter Griffin -- dressed in a tunic and a fez, won the road race by dialing his cell phone and setting off the two bombs, which are heard off screen. An image of Griffin in his car with bloodied bodies surrounding it appears before the bombing, in one ...

Set MacFarlane
Seth MacFarlane went to UCLA to talk about filmmaking, but he ended up revealing much more. For one, some contest winners will be headed to the Oscars with him. Also, there's a Family Guy film in the works.

According to Entertainment Weekly Seth said, "It's just a matter of when. It's hard to do that while you have the series going on at the same time; I think that's why it took 'The Simpsons' 20 seasons to figure out how to do it."

"We do know what the 'Family Guy' movie will be. The Simpsons Movie, I thought, was hilarious, but the one criticism I would have is that it's a story they p...
