In this reality series, a spin-off of a well-received ABC special, three ordinary people were chosen from thousands of applicants to have their appearance altered (hopefully for the better) before an audience of millions. A team of experts -- Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Garth Fisher, dental specialist William Dorfman, lasik eye surgeon Robert Maloney, dietician/personal trainer Michael Thurmond, hair/makeup master Jose Eber, and Emmy-winning fashion consultant Brenda Cooper -- combined their high-priced talents to expedite the triple makeover. The process was painstakingly chronicled for the home viewers, with the results unveiled after six episodes.
