Inspired by Chris Rock's life as a kid, Everybody Hates Chris takes place in New York City in the 1980s. Chris (Tyler James Williams) struggles to find his place while keeping his siblings in line and dealing with the pressures of junior high school. He's an instant target for bullies at his Italian-centric school, but he manages to make friends and knows he'll someday be someone important. The series also stars Tequan Richmond, Imani Hakim, Terry Crews, Tichina Arnold, and Vincent Martella.
