Dukes Of Hazzard star John Schneider quit racing cars after watching a pal flip a BMW at 150 miles (241.4 kilometres) per hour.

The actor took his love of racing from the screen to the track after he became a TV star on the beloved 1980s series - but a scare prompted him to walk away from the fast-paced sport.

He tells BlogTalkRadio.com, "I loved racing 10 years ago and then one day I was in a race and I saw the people behind me make a mistake and a beautiful 12 cylinder BMW went upside down at 150 miles an hour in a desert, and, from that moment on, I honestly lost my nerve.

Dukes Of Hazzard stars Tom Wopat and John Schneider are hoping to team up as brothers again onstage.

The former co-stars portrayed Bo and Luke Duke in the beloved 1980s TV series and Schneider reveals they're keen to play siblings again.

He tells BlogTalkRadio.com, "We wanted to play brothers on stage and you know we've looked around and can't find anything... It would be great to do a musical... (Maybe) Seven Brides For Seven Brothers. Or someone could write an original musical, but they better hurry because Tom's old!"

The actor who played the inept sheriff in hit TV series The Dukes Of Hazzard has settled a legal battle with Warner Bros. executives over merchandising revenue.

James Best, who played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane in the show, sued Warner Bros. bosses back in August 2011, claiming he was owed millions of dollars from the show's merchandise, including watches, shoes and cars bearing his likeness.

The case went to court in North Carolina this month and according to TheWrap.com, Best has now settled the matter for an undisclosed sum.

Actress Catherine Bach's husband has been found dead in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.com.

Peter Lopez, who was one of Michael Jackson's music attorneys, was found after paramedics responded to a report of a shooting at his Encino home at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time on Friday.

Police sources report Lopez's death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.

Bach, who is best-known for her role as Daisy Duke on TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard," married Lopez in 1990.

The couple shares two children.

According to TMZ.com, security staff found 1.2 grams of weed on the star as he passed a security checkpoint at Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport. The actor was allegedly handed an on-the-spot $500 fine, which he paid.

The 57-year-old actor is currently starring in the Broadway musical "Chicago."
