'Dexter' Recap: 'Just Let Go' (6.06)
This week's Dexter sees our hero make an important decision about his direction in life...while those around him continue to have no idea where they're headed.
Dex gets the news from Deb that Brother Sam has been shot, which forces him to abandon his stalking of Travis and makes him seriously angry. He quickly zeroes in on Leo Hernandez, a gang member who replaced the man Dex killed. He doesn't get a chance to exact justice, though, as Leo is shot and killed in a standoff with the cops.
All should be well, but Dexter finds himself not so convinced of Leo's guilt after all. The r...

The 10th Anniversary Of '24'
How time flies: 10 years ago today, 24 premiered on FOX, and television - not to mention pop culture and the world - was never the same.
The action-drama series, created by La Femme Nikita bosses Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, and starring Kiefer Sutherland as now-famous government agent Jack Bauer, was a groundbreaking piece of entertainment. It introduced the idea of a television series in real time (each episode was an hour in a day) and employed a distinctive visual style that included the widespread use of "boxes" to provide simultaneous glimpses at multiple storylines. Top 10 Creepiest Film & TV Serial Killers
Factual serial killers are scary. The idea that someone might be out there, on a deserted road or lurking in an alleyway, waiting to murder you is a horrible, horrible thought. But let’s face it: most of the time it’s the serial killers who keep you up at night are the ones that live on your television screen.
We’ve all been there: A Criminal Minds marathon on A&E, a Law and Order binge on Netflix instant... sometimes fictional serial killers are the creepiest ones of all. As Halloween approaches, I’d like to catalogue the 10 creepiest fictional serial killers.

'Dexter' Recap: 'A Horse of a Different Color' (6.04)
If last week's Dexter was more of a standalone episode, this week's throws us right back into the season-long arc, inducing squirms and gasps in equal measure.
Dexter's decided to go to the baptism Brother Sam invited him to after all, even though the idea of religious faith goes right over his head. It's too bad that they don't have time to have a discussion, because it might've come in handy when Dex is called out to deal with the "wicked rodeo" we saw at the end of last week's episode. New guy Mike (Billy Brown) quickly points out to the Metro team that it has something to do w...

'Dexter' Recap: 'Smokey and the Bandit' (6.03)
Last week's Dexter gave us a good idea where season six is headed. This week, we see a little more - just enough to get me concerned about that direction - but you'll have to wait for the real surprises.
Dexter's got a bad feeling when a murdered prostitute reminds him of the modus operandi of a serial killer he once tracked. He's convinced that the now-elderly Walter Kenney (Ronny Cox) hasn't come to Miami just to retire. Getting close to Kenney is not a good time for Dex, who has to suffer through the man's horrible golf game and near-constant complaining. It's funny if only for th...

Michael C. Hall Joins Fellow Cancer Survivors At Charity Walk
Michael C. Hall joined fellow cancer survivors at a charity walk in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The Dexter star was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2009 and a year later went into remission and completed his final chemotherapy session to make a full recovery.
And now Hall has shown his support for the cancer community by showing up at UCLA's Drake Stadium to participate in the On Track for a Cure walk-a-thon to raise money in a bid to help researchers find a cure.
The actor later addressed the crowd and looked on as patients, family members and care givers gathered to hear speeches from ...

'Dexter' Recap: 'Once Upon A Time' (6.02)
He might be a serial killer, but this week's Dexter left me wanting to hug Dexter Morgan - after all, he's just realized that he may be his son's worst enemy.
Harrison's getting older now, and Dexter is disturbed to find out that his son has picked up on some of his father's habits, making repeated references to "daddy's box" of blood slides. Having previously stated that he doesn't want to pass his Dark Passenger on to the tot, Dex makes a painful decision at episode's end: that he can no longer show his son his real nature, only the one that everyone else believes to be true.

'Supernatural' Recap: Sam Lets His Freak Flag Fly
When we last left the “Supernatural” universe, Sam and Dean were careening towards the Leviathan-infested hospital via ambulance—Sam was seizing with a head injury, Dean with bloodily broken leg, and Bobby presumed dead.
Slickly directed by series’ star Jensen Ackles, “The Girl Next Door” was thankfully easier on my fangirl heart. It began mere minutes after last week’s cliffhanger with the brothers arriving at Sioux Falls General. Dean, a fighter to the end, tried to climb off the gurney and find his brother. Previewing 'Dexter' Season 6 With Jennifer Carpenter
Dexter Morgan has sliced his way into a bloody niche on TV. As it begins its sixth season tonight, Showtime's Dexter can boast both critical acclaim and an audience that's enraptured by the life of Miami's most loved serial killer. Dexter's biggest supporter - and also the largest threat to his lethal secret - is his sister, homicide detective Debra Morgan.
The show might be called Dexter, but Deb has been my favorite character on the series. She might have a smart mouth, but beyond that, she has an earnestness to bust the bad guys that I find admirable. She also displays a remarka...

Which Actress Believes In PDA In NYC?
This actress, who recently starred in a popular Showtime series, and her boyfriend David Harbour shared kisses as they spent time with each other in New York City earlier this week.
It's Julia Stiles! She appeared in the fifth season of "Dexter," where she played Lumen Pierce. The new season starts this weekend, but unfortunately Julia won't be returning. She has several films in production, including "It's a Disaster," "Between Us" and "Seconds of Pleasure."
Over the summer the actress was spotted having an emotional breakdown at LAX. It looks like all is well now!

Early 2011 Emmy Predictions: Here's Who Will Win
It may be a little early to predict the Emmy winners, but unlike the Oscars, not much changes in the Emmy Awards season once the nominations are out.
The Emmys can be very tough to predict, but we'll take our best shot. Here's who we think will go home with the gold on Sept. 18th. Do you agree?
Outstanding Drama Series
'Boardwalk Empire'
'Dexter'
'Friday Night Lights'
'Game of Thrones'
'The Good Wife'
'Mad Men'
After yet another outstanding season, it looks like 'Mad Men' may make it four in a row. Its only real competition is 'Boardwalk Empire,' which took the Golden Globe, and...

TV On DVD: 'Dexter: Season Five'
This week, CBS Home Entertainment released season five of Showtime's hit series Dexter on DVD and Blu-Ray. Here's my look inside the DVD version.
The Show
After a spectacular fourth season (I don't know about you, but I have a really hard time watching John Lithgow in those 3rd Rock from the Sun reruns now), Dexter had a tough act to follow. While I don't dislike season five as much as some fans, I can see where their disappointment comes from - it's a worthwhile go, but the standard was set high and it didn't quite get there.

Julia Stiles Spotted Having An Emotional Breakdown At Airport
Julia Stiles says her gig on Dexter has allowed her to release repressed emotions -- but after she had a breakdown at the airport, fans are wondering if it is all too much.
Nominated for an Emmy for her role as Lumen Ann Pierce in the hit serial killer drama Dexter, Julia Stiles says the role allows her to release emotions that she normally has to repress to function in society.

Top 10 Current TV Character Crushes
It's Valentine's Day, and that means love is in the air (for some of us, anyway). It's also a perfect time to pay tribute to the fictional men who've made my heart melt this TV season, for one reason or another, or oftentimes several. These are ten guys who, if they were real, would have no problem getting my phone number.
Warning: there are spoilers for certain series. Each show is listed in each character's heading. If you're waiting for the DVD's, I'd advise skipping those particular sections.

'Grey’s Anatomy' + 'Lost' - Mysteries That Will Never Be Solved = 'Off The Map'
Which is not necessarily a bad thing: The first time I watched “Off The Map,” I dismissed it as just another sexy doctor show produced by TV superstar Shonda Rhimes. Rhimes created “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice,” redefining our idea of medical dramas and prime-time soap operas. Rhimes didn’t create “Off The Map” (that credit belongs to Jenna Bans, who is a producer and writer on “Grey’s”), but she is executive producing it. And her influence is all over this new show.

What Can We Expect To See In Season 4 Of 'Californication'?
So, “Californication” is returning soon, and everyone’s favorite blind-in-one-eye leading man David Duchovny reprises his role as the perpetually creatively-blocked novelist Hank Moody. And I bet you real money he’s going to be having sex with people this season. Lots of sex. That he’ll feel bad about later.
Actually, that’s the entirety of “Californication.” Hank Moody has sex, feels bad about it later, then does it again. But gosh if he isn’t just so darn loveable.
I know the show is about that cycle. I know the show is supposed to be about how Hank Moody is a sex addict, and how he’s t...
