Possibly Disney's crowning jewel in the company's "renaissance" -- the period from the late '80s to the late '90s that produced wildly popular and widely acclaimed animated flicks that became classics -- "Beauty and the Beast" is being released on DVD and Blu-ray in a combo pack on October 5.

Ahh, the remake. The feelings that are evoked when you hear that your favorite program from yesteryear is being re-thought, re-vamped and re-launched for the new generation are hard to describe. USA Network has picked up The Dead Zone, the hit series starring Anthony Michael Hall, for a sixth broadcast season of 13 one-hour episodes, it was announced today by Jeff Wachtel, USA's executive vice president, original programming.
