Canadian actress Kari Matchett is pregnant with her first child.

The Covert Affairs star is due to give birth next month but has not revealed details of the baby's father. She wed moviemaker T. W. Peacocke in 1998 but they ended their marriage in 2004.

Confirming her pregnancy news, former 24 actress Matchett tells Life & Style magazine, "I'm due in just over a month. I don't know if it's a boy or girl, but the names are picked out."

Labor Day is over, signaling the unofficial end of summer and the start of the new TV season. While television is somewhat entertaining during June, July, and August, it's the fall debuts that many TV addicts anticipate.

Next week the networks start rolling out new and returning series, kicking off with "90210" and "Ringer" on the CW on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

As USA's Covert Affairs prepares for its second season next week (June 7), Universal Studios Home Entertainment has released season one onto DVD in an eleven-episode, three-disc set. Here's my review.

The Show

Someone once described Covert Affairs to me as "Alias lite." And it does remind me of Alias, before things like time jumps and secret half-siblings. Actress Piper Perabo is recovering from a broken leg after a stunt went awry on the set of her new TV drama Covert Affairs.

Luckily for the Coyote Ugly star, the accident happened while she was shooting the season finale and she was able to limp around and complete her scenes.

She says, "I broke it in a fight scene in the finale. We were literally one day from wrapping.

"Luckily, I have a great stuntwoman, who was able to get my close-up, and a great editor. It was an accident and I'm fine and I'm not taking any steps back. It was just a freak accident.

The King's Speech is leading the charge for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards after landing seven nominations.

The cinematic tale about the British monarchy is heading up the main categories with nominations for Best Picture (Drama) and Best Director for Tom Hooper, while Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush have all received acting nods.

Actress Piper Perabo has been injured following an accident on the set of her TV show Covert Affairs.

The Coyote Ugly star was involved in an incident while filming on location in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday which left her with a knee injury, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports she is receiving treatment and will suffer no long term damage.

There's no denying that recently, the USA Network has been on fire in terms of new shows. 'In Plain Sight', 'Psych', 'Royal Pains', and 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent', not to mention the hit series 'Burn Notice'. It seems like the cable network has a bit of a Midas touch. Can they strike gold again, this time with 'Coyote Ugly' star Piper Perabo?

It's not an instant classic, but the pilot certainly has the potential.

During a polygraph test, we meet CIA trainee Annie Walker (Piper Perabo). I enjoyed this as an opener as we're guaranteed to meet the "real Annie", a smart, sassy, sexy spy. ...

The first scene opens with Annie Walker – a C.I.A. newbie that is hooked up to a polygraph machine and is being grilled by an examiner who asks her questions about her career, her relationships and her sex life.

Instantly, one is inclined to believe that this is a C.I.A. driven series that has a dash of sexuality and witty dialogue weaved into it. And who best to play the lead part than Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly)?

The show is titled "Covert Affairs" and it is USA’s newest addition to their drama series roster. It’s got everything from mystery and humor to car chases and fight scenes.
