Commander In Chief star Geena Davis insists a made-for-TV movie version of the show is the key to getting it back on the air as a series. The Emmy Award-nominated star was gutted when the show was cancelled and refuses to believe it will never return.

She explains, "It's devastating, and I haven't given up actually. There was a huge email campaign after the show wasn't picked up. It looks like we're going to do a made-for-TV movie of 'Commander In Chief.' I'm hoping that it raises more questions than it answers and maybe that will bring the show back."

TV president Geena Davis doesn't know whether to laugh or cry about her first Emmy Award nomination - because it's for a cancelled show. The star is up for a Best Actress honor at the upcoming TV awards for her role as President Mackenzie Allen in axed show Commander In Chief.

Geena Davis' term as a TV U.S. president might not be over because she refuses to step down. The actress' critically acclaimed show Commander In Chief, in which she played President Mackenzie Allen, was cancelled last month due to poor ratings, but Davis insists the show isn't dead yet.

Cancelled TV drama Commander In Chief may come back as a TV movie. ABC pulled the series earlier this month and will air the final three episodes of the series in June. Former Saved By The Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar has become a father for the second time - his wife has given birth to a baby daughter. Lisa delivered Ava Lorenn at noon yesterday at a hospital in Los Angeles. The couple already has a two-year-old son, Michael Charles.

The Gosselaars met on the set of Saved By The Bell spin-off Saved By The Bell: The College Years and married in 1996. Since quitting the kids show, the 32-year-old has starred in NYPD Blue and Commander In Chief.
