Kyra Sedgwick's Horror Film 'The Possession' Is Based On True Story
Actress Kyra Sedgwick was extra spooked while shooting new horror film The Possession because it is based on a true story.
The movie centers around a little girl named Em, who goes to a yard sale and buys an antique box, which turns out to be haunted by an evil spirit.
And The Closer star, who plays the child's mother, admits she struggled to keep her wits about her since the project was inspired by a real series of events.

TV Ratings: 'The Closer' Rocks It In Finale
Without the Olympics to entertain us, viewers turned to cable last week. While shows like ‘America’s Got Talent’ on NBC topped the chart, the finale of ‘The Closer’ closed out its run with over 9 million viewers, and would have placed third on the overall charts. Its spinoff, ‘Major Crimes,’ had a good debut with 7.2 million.
Otherwise, it was business as usual. ‘The Big Bang Theory' was the top scripted program with 8 million viewers, good for 4th place. And Gordon Ramsey’s new reality series, ‘Hotel Hell,’ attracted 5.1 million viewers, typical of his other programs. It narrowly missed o...

TV Ratings: 'The Closer' Tops For TNT
While NBC dominated the week with ‘America’s Got Talent,’ which topped the charts once again, it didn’t have much else to coo about. Its next highest-rated broadcast was a rerun of ‘Betty White’s Off Their Rockers’ down in 42nd place.
CBS won the week among total viewers, of course buoyed by reruns, particularly ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ which nabbed 2nd place, as well as ‘Two and a Half Men’ and ‘NCIS.’ ABC, meanwhile, did quite well with ‘The Bachelorette’ finale and the ‘Final Rose’ special on Sunday. The show was tops among adults 18-49.
Fox did fine with ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and ‘MasterChef...

Kyra Sedgwick Shows Off Her Tramp Stamp, Great Bikini Body In Hawaii
We spotted Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick enjoy a day at the beach in Hawaii yesterday with their 17 year old daughter Sosi.
Kyra, 46, looked fabulous in a bikini and showed off a tattoo on her lower back. Hubby Kevin, 53, didn't look half bad either for a guy his age.
The actress's popular TNT show "The Closer" is winding down. The final six episodes of season seven leading up to a spinoff are set to air in early 2012. Kevin stars in the upcoming film "R.I.P.D." about a newly deceased cop who's drafted into a squad of zombie cops that battle the supernatural.

TV Goodbye: Shows That Ended & Shows That Were Cancelled In 2011
Ask the typical American to name 20 currently airing primetime television shows and they probably can't without doing some serious thinking. They'd probably even ramble off a few that were cancelled during the year or the year before without even realizing it.
In 2011 a myriad of television shows come to an end with over 80 leaving the airwaves, most of which you probably never even heard of (some were so small we didn't even include them in this year-end roundup).
Some had tearful goodbyes after long runs (Oprah, Big Love, Rescue Me), and others were canceled so fast we hardly even knew ...

The cast of hit drama show Mad Men raised money for a rape crisis center in California by hosting a gala brunch in the state on Sunday.
Stars of the Emmy-winning TV series, including Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss, all turned out for the event, held at the home of a local businessman in Beverly Hills in aid of the Rape Treatment Center.
Spider-Man actor J.K. Simmons, who stars in TV show The Closer, acted as master of ceremonies at the brunch and took the chance to poke fun at the Mad Men actors, telling the crowd, "Today it is my privilege to introduce them, the men a...

'Supernatural' Recap: Have Faith That It Will Get Worse
When “Supernatural” first started seven years ago, it was just a show about two brothers with a cool car, saving people and hunting things while they searched for their father. I had no idea that it would nearly double its ratings in the fourth season—thanks to passionate fans and the internet—or that it would snarkily and bravely tackle such enormous themes as religion, God and the true meaning of faith. But season six ended with everyone's favorite angel, Castiel, declaring himself the new God after bingeing on Purgatory’s doomed souls with as much gusto as Dean (Jensen Ackles) attacks ...
READ MORESummer 2011 TV Highlights
As much as you should be going to the beach, catching a hot concert or spending time with friends at outdoor barbeques this summer, there is also a lot going on indoors too. We’re talking about what’s going on inside on the television. Summer television shows aren’t always about the addicting and sometimes laughable reality programs since stations like TNT and USA have stepped up their game with shows like The Closer and Burn Notice. As much as we were anticipating the return of Mad Men this summer only to be disappointed by the news that the premiere is delayed until 2012, we found a few m...
READ MOREBrianna Brown: Busy And Loving It
Brianna Brown is good at keeping herself busy – sometimes in spite of herself.
The energetic actress, a Twin Cities native who landed in Hollywood over a decade ago, is currently enjoying the success of her most recent role, Dr. Lisa Niles on ABC’s ‘General Hospital.’ She took over the part early last year in what she calls a ‘Fatal Attraction’ storyline. Her arc piqued so much interest it helped the storyline to be named Soap Opera Digest’s best of 2010.
In a phone interview, the witty Brown fondly describes Lisa as “just really manipulative.” It’s a departure from her earlier roles...

Five Celebrity Couples We Loved At The 2011 Golden Globe Awards
This year's Golden Globes might have been especially colorful to watch given all the break-ups and match-ups of 2010 (or the painful hosting of Ricky Gervais). However, there were still some couples that we loved watching in between awards, who give us hope that not all of Hollywood is headed to divorce court:
Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick: Kyra, there as a nominee for The Closer, arrived with husband Kevin Bacon, beaming in a flowing orange Pucci gown. While Sedgwick didn't win in her category, camera shots revealed the pair cozy at their table enjoying the show.
