On the second season premiere of Ghost Whisperer (8-9 p.m. CBS), Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt)is greatly concerned when it seems that Andrea is being influenced by "Wide Brim." She goes to Professor Rick Payne, an expert in occult beliefs and history, to see if he can identify "Wide Brim" in order to win the battle for her friend's fate. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Melinda, a young man who seems to be obsessed with her makes plans to fly from Seattle to see her.

* Annabeth uses unconventional methods to determine the motive for the murder of a mother and her children who are killed in cold blood in their home, on Close To Home (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS. David James Elliott joins the cast as ADA James Conlon. Cress Williams and Jon Seda join the cast as new detectives assigned to work in the D.A.'s office.
Annabeth and the new team in the D.A.'s office investigate the multiple homicide of a family. Under pressure from her new boss, James Conlon (Elliott), to swiftly bring the killers to justice, Annabeth must employ new tactics to draw out a confession. Meanwhile, Annabeth tries to smooth over the animosities between Ed Williams (Williams), a tough no-nonsense cop, and Ray Blackwell (Seda), Conlon's right hand man from New York, two new detectives assigned to work in the D.A.'s office.
* While Don and his team are faced with trying to capture a 30-year-old teacher and her 17-year-old boyfriend/student who are on a violent cross-country crime spree, one of their own gets caught in the crossfire, on part one of a two-part third season premiere of Numb3rs, (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS. Meanwhile, after Charlie and Amita share an intimate moment, he freaks out when he thinks Amita has accepted a teaching position at CalSci to be with him. Later, Alan decides he is ready to find a place of his own.
* On the season premiere of Law & Order (10 p.m. NBC), a cop is murdered in a failed burglary attempt and Detectives Green and Cassady are led to a "stalkerazzi" photographer, who is hot on the trail of tabloid sensation Sky Sweet (and her estranged husband "J-Train" Smolka.)
Confident the burglary and subsequent murder is connected to incriminating photos of Sweet and her baby, the detectives see the case goes to court and A.D.A.s McCoy and Rubirosa find themselves in the media spotlight as they argue the use of "The Shield Law" to protect celebrity journalism.Read Article...
