Due to the recent bombings in Boston, Mass., producers of the ABC crime series "Castle" have postponed an upcoming bomb-themed episode.

On Monday, three people died and over 100 were injured after two bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon, prompting fears of a massive terrorist plot.

ABC executives decided to push up an episode that was scheduled to air on Monday, April 22, so as not to offend those still in mourning.

The episode, "Still," features Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) deactivating a bomb. It will air on April 29 instead.

One of the final weeks of the TV season was a mixed bag for the networks. CBS, FOX and ABC had a few things to croon about, while NBC had to settle for, well, just a couple.

‘NCIS’ continues to outperform its rivals, taking in over 18 million viewers to rank first for the week, which had to make CBS happy. FOX was in the game with both installments of ‘American Idol,’ which placed second and fourth, respectively. CBS dominated the ratings last week with 14 of the Top 25 programs. But FOX managed to tie it in the 18-49 demo with a 2.2 rating. ‘NCIS’ was tops again, while ‘American Idol’ performed quite strongly, particularly on Wednesday.

The 2010-2011 TV season is officially over. The ratings are in. If there is one surprise, it’s that last year’s top five shows were all up in viewers this year. With hefty viewer erosion in recent years, that’s nothing short of a miracle.

The number one thing you need to watch this week is “Glee” because after months of speculation, viewers will finally find out which cast member they will say goodbye to forever. For those who had forgotten, in Royce’s last episode, he turned out to be a dirty cop that took bribes and impeded Beckett’s progress on a case. She was also in love with him, so his betrayal was especially harsh. Royce drags himself across pavement while an ominous man stalks him with a gun and a silencer. The man shoots Royce.

It’s almost May Sweeps, and season finales will be upon us faster than the networks can cancel soaps. Let’s break it down, network by network, of what succeeded – and what flopped – this TV season.

NBC

Let’s start with the weakest network. After the ‘Jay Leno Show’ debacle last season, NBC is still scrambling to find original programming that will net decent ratings.

If there’s one thing the Olympics taught us, it’s that the competitive world of swimming is cutthroat, fierce, and populated with attractive men. ‘The Dead Pool’ starts with a young swimmer doing what he does best. Suddenly a dark figure approaches him. Cut to Castle, discussing his young writer friend Alex Conrad who is going to be in town. Castle wants Alex to follow him and Beckett around. Predictably, Beckett is not into this scenario at all. My prediction: Beckett is going to be charmed by Alex. Or Alex is actually the murderer.

“Slice of Death” opens with a body reveal worthy of Bones. A man and woman stumble into a restaurant, kissing passionately. The woman squeals a requisite “I have to tweet this” to inform us that the man she’s currently making out with is some sort of celebrity. She refers to him as “Terrific Nick,” but he corrects her: “Authentic Nick.” Seeing as this is New York, they can only be one place: a pizza restaurant. The girl comments on the (wonderful) smell in the restaurant. They investigate and discover (gross) a body in the pizza oven. Cut to (grosser) Castle frying bacon for Alexis.
