January 10th, 2011 9:15pm EST
Howard Gordon
Howard Gordon has perhaps one of the most impressive resumes for a TV producer working today. His credits include Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, The X-Files, The Inside and 24. With 24 ending, you'd think he might finally take a vacation - but you'd be wrong. In addition to developing two new series, he also found the time to write his first novel. Howard reunited with me on Monday evening to talk about Gideon's War and what it's like to switch from TV boss to novelist.

What made you decide to write a novel?

It was actually a longtime ambition. In college, I was a creative writing m...

Several stars heard the pitter-patter of tiny feet this month - Monica Bellucci gave birth to her second daughter, Leonie, supermodel Claudia Schiffer deliv...

Let's get this out of the way first: I'm a zombie fan. I don't like vampires, and I don't think that Edward is particularly sexy. Sorry. But as an entertainment commentator for Starpulse I'd have to admit, with some reluctance, that vampires have zombies over a barrel. And it doesn't look like that's ever going to change. The hit television series True Blood, and the media swallowing ultra-franchise Twilight, have demonstrated a renewed interest in these banal blood-suckers. While movies like Zombieland continue the trend of zombie comedies which, although undeniably funny, only re-enforce ...

Long ago, in a popular culture period far, far away, to watch or read science fiction was synonymously tied to the then derogatory term of 'geek'. Now that stereotype has somewhat weakened. One of the many reasons for this change was the Ron Moore reimagining of 'Battlestar Galactica' in 2004. 'BSG' was a hit not just amongst the typical sci-fi fan base, as it is most commonly discussed as a space opera, but to more non-traditional fans. When 'Heroes' debuted on NBC it was a break in network format. Many questioned why it was not to air on the sister channel, then, Sci-Fi, and spurred d...
