Blue Collar TV features comedy sketches with comedians from The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, such as Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Bill Engvall.
Three of the four stars of the popular "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" carried over their peculiar brand of redneck humor to the weekly, half-hour WB series Blue Collar TV. Standup comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall headed the cast, with their "Comedy Tour" cohort Ron White showing up for a handful of guest appearances. Backed up by a talented supporting troupe including Brooke Dillman, Ashley Drane, Peter Oldring, Heath Hyche, Ayda Field and Gary Anthony Williams, the series' stars played a variety of Southern-fried characters in quickie sketches festooned with cheerful vulgarity, body function jokes, and delightfully abysmal puns that made Hee Haw sound like Noel Coward in comparision. Regular features included the "Redneck Dictionary" (sample definition for the word wrench: "Mama, would you wrench out this glass?") and Foxworthy's familiar "You might be a redneck if... " routines. Also, the cast members could generally be found indulging in a spirited question-and-answer session with the audience at the end of each episode. Blue Collar TV debuted July 29, 2004.
